An Interview With My Past Self - 2020 & 2022
Переглядів 87Рік тому
At the end of 2019, I decided to finally conduct an interview with my future self-something I had always wanted to do but never followed through with! It was kind of hilarious because as everyone knows, 2020 led into some very difficult years! However, it was really great to come back to the questions I had after everything went down and I got to see myself on the other side. I hope this inspir...
The Christmas Party 🎊 2022
Переглядів 50Рік тому
My sister Lexie and her friend Sydney threw our Christmas party this year! This was our first time opening our new home for something more than just a couple of guests so it was a special occasion. I have always loved throwing parties and making people feel at home in a lively but relaxed environment but it’s been awhile since I’ve been able to do so. I think this year’s party was a great succe...

Love that book and the fact that there is a book review about it! There actually are Some more books written by Madeleine Brent which all follow more or less the same 'pattern' of a girl living somewhere outside of England until at some point circumstances lead her to England where she discovers some mystery... i can only recommend (most of) them !!

I’m so happy you found a review of one of your favorites! I would like to read more of this author, so do you have a top three from them? Thanks for stopping by today!

@@thisourdailylife3979 I have read all eight of them, and they are excellent. Every time I started a new one, I would feel I wouldn't enjoy it because it was set in a different location. But every time, I loved it. I so wish he had written more. I always thought the author got inside the mind of a young girl like no other author I have read. So when I found out "she" was a man, I just could not believe it! My favorite was "Stranger at Wildings." The next would probably be "Golden Urchin." Each is as different as they can get due to the settings. But the characters are still similar in a few ways. His research into small bits of information is impeccable, and he uses that for showing aspects of a character's...well, character. Peter O'Donnell was a British soldier and he travelled widely. He also wrote the Modesty Blaise series of books and comics which is devoted to a female James Bond type of character. There was also a movie about her, but it was a failure. Do yourself a favor a read them all. I try to reread them every few years. They are that good.

I really enjoyed this talk, a lot of interesting points and none of it was presented with a "holier-than-thou" tone, it was very inquisitive and respectful. I particularly appreciated your points on imposing a personal view of God onto others. As well as presenting information and allowing the reader/viewer the freedom and trust to come up with some of the answers on their own. I am currently making an animated film, so a lot of your earlier points were very useful, thank you for sharing this. Stay happy and safe, dear! <3

I really enjoyed your back and forth energy. Neither of you swallowed up the other. I have a lot of “takeaways “ but since the video was on the longer side, I may not remember all of them. First, Ashley, I’m glad you brought up “absolute truth”. It’s a beautiful concept, when the God of heaven is our absolute truth, we can wander around in mental, spiritual and emotional safety in peace because, as your picture depicts, we always find ourselves back on the path toward our goal, which is or should be, our life’s purpose. This idea fits neatly in what you articulated, Ben, that God has no favorites, he loves everyone deeply the same because He created everyone for a purpose. Maybe we don’t even know our purpose but He does. So, for example the alcoholic in the gutter may be the catalyst that brings a person out of their boredom with life or something, whereas Jeff Besos may propel another person to create wealth to be used to help others etc. kind of like saying we are all part of a web. Your discussion, from wildflowers to abandonment to education is something so interesting to me, I really wish I could be interacting in real time. Ben, I see that you were wearing a Connecticut TShirt! Yay! If ever you are in Connecticut, I would love to hear you speak! Thanks so much for sharing your poetry!

Thank you so much for watching Miriam! I’m so glad you got some fun things out of it, and yes! Absolute truth is absolutely important! I love your point about our purpose often being hidden from us, because oftentimes we have to walk by faith and not by sight. Even with this channel, I felt like I was supposed to continue to make videos (though to me it seemed silly at the time) but God brought many good things through it! Blessings to you today dear sister in the Lord! Let me know if there is anything I can pray for you, and I would love prayers for healing for my back (I have a chronic spine condition that is very painful). Thank you again!
