Love the Channel, BMPCC og is the shit. How did you capture this? RCA to hdmi into the Ninja blade? if so do you know if it records in 10bit? I want this camera so bad! great vid.
👏
What do you like about the lens?
Such an oddly emotional video. The images and music combined are transcendant.
Good work
How did you stabilise?
cool does the camera shoot HD
Do you (have to) upscale the footage or no?
This is excellent.
Stunning
Awesome videos!!! Color grading is awesome. Just bought ursa mini g2. Any tips for color grading? What lens would you recommend for the Ursa? Thanks
Beautiful! Camera?
Hey. Thanks. This was shot on Alexa Mini
Did anybody pay attention to the actors names?, Fawkin killed me. 😂 Good short tho, can´t expect less from Blackmagic.
Amazing footage. Did you use a gimbal or this was handheld?
Hi, thanks! This was using a gimbal
What lens(es)?
Hi. I used an isco anamorphic projection lens and zeiss zf.2
That look crazy sharp for the OG! Interesting! Was it the lens? Did you add some midtone details and sharpness in post? If yes, by how much?
Hi. No sharpness or midtones were added. I sometimes upscale footage to 4k for better web rendition but can't remember if this was the case.
Lovely video. That Cooke Kinetal lens looks great on the OG. It makes me want to get one or two for my OG. What focal lengths do have? How did you adapt them? Do you have any advice about the best place to buy them? Ebay?
Love the Cookes. Are these Kinetals? I have the 25mm T2 for my BMCC and I love it.
Hi. Mine is the Kinetal 17.5. Beautiful lens!
Very nice 👏👏👏
Nice video and perfect music! What lense is it?
OMG Great work!!! Congratulations!
I just got a Cooke Kinetal 12.5mm f1.8 with c-mount. Im using a fotodiox c mount to mft adapter on a bkackmagic micro cine camera (same super16 sensor as BMPCC OG) the image is completely blurry. Is this lens incompatible or do think it might be defective?
Hi. Your shots are simply wonderful. I will try to take some anamorphic shots….. using isco 2x and rápido….
Muito bom.
Hi i wanna ask how do u achieve the square flare in 2:51 looks amazing
The square flare happens do the aperture circle inside the lens (if you have lens at home and change the aperture you will notice that the stuff that rotates inside the lens to allow more or less light are perfectly circle at all times hence you get those round flares) however some lens are designed in a way that's not perfectly circle and it makes these square looking flares, cheers!
bruh you were ahead of the game
What ZF lenses exactly did you use for this shoot? Really incredible work my friend
Thanks. This was some time ago but it was probably on my Zeiss 28mm T2 and the 21mm 2.8. I don't I used the 50mm nor the 85
That’s great to know because I am considering putting together a ZF kit for my BMMCC. I was looking at getting the 21 2.8, 28 2.0, 35 2.0, 50 2.0 and maybe the 100 or 135 2.0 as well. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations? Did you feel like they cut together well and can make a matching set? Thanks so much for responding by the way!
Looks incredible!
AMAZING VIDEO!!! Just got my hands on the Tokina 28-70 and it’s a gem!!! Love your work. 🏁
Thanks! It really is an amazing lens full of character.
Great work! What lens do you use? Can you share your cam settings and do you use nd filter? Thx a lot.. 👍
Hi. I used an nd filter to be able to open the lens to the sweet spot. What cam settings are you interested in?
Did you use Isco 2x , is not?
Don't look like the 2.6-2.8, are you using a focal reducer? Keep it up, great filmmaking!!!
What adapter did you use and what was lens mount ?
Definitely prefer the Tokina Actually I'm just gonna grab one Pro I or II, as long as it's mint Funny since we're 5 years later as when you posted it ...
this is sick! what ssd card do you use and do you shoot in rraw?
what format is? raw or prores
Hello! Could you tell me what equipment did you use? excellent work
That flare at 2:50 is perfect!
hi! Is there a red shift in this lens?
Bonito.
Nice job. I love my BMPCC too!
Great work! Do you remember what iso, fps, and shutter angle this was shot in?
Thanks. I'd say probably 800ISO, 25fps and 180shutter. Cheers
Wow this is almost like a movie.. I'm waiting for a story and a plot! Beautiful job.
did you use a matte box for this shoot?
Is this the version I or II of the Tokina? THus the one with the metal lens hood or the plastic one / the one with the screw in or the clip in lens cap? I'd love to know if the 2nd version does still have these beautiful flares, as the coating had been changed between these two versions. Thank you for sharing! :-)
Hi. Mine is the ATX Pro II (I think the obvious difference is the ability to swith from auto to manual focus by pulling the focusing ring).
@@davidevans000 Awesome! Thank you very much for the quick and kind response! :-) The version II is exactly the one that I am trying to buy today. It comes from the first owner and has barely been used. - I understand, that the differences between version I and II are the lens hood, the lens cap and the improved coating with the 2nd version. I thought that both have the same switch for AF and MF. But who knows... 🙂
Hey David, what would you say are some of your favorite lenses for the bmpcc og? I recently picked up both the Pro I and Pro II Tokina 28-70 2.8 for my BMMCC and would love to get your suggestions for other lenses to look into, thanks so much!
Hey. I absolutely love the look of old Cooke kinetals on the bmpcc. The Tokina is an amazing lens but you'd need a speedbooster to get the most of that focal range. With the speedbooster, you have many more options such as the Zeiss Contax lenses
@@davidevans000 this footage looks incredible.. thank you.. it's buttercream..! I'm looking to get either the Pocket 4k or the new Pocket 6k g2... i have a Cooke Varokinetal S16 the 9.5-50mm (T2.5 converted to T3)... is that the lens you're using hear?? Can you tell me the adapter i would need to use it on the S35 sensors Pocket 6k v2..? That's the camera i want most.. and I'll just shoot in 2k
@@toneohmI'm pretty sure these lenses have heavy vignetting on larger sensors. This footagedoesn't because the og BMPCC is a super 16 sensor. Hope that helps. The speed panchros don't have vignetting on larger sensors but they are more expensive
Holy shit, incredible...Pro I or Pro II (please say Pro II haha)
i love your videos, woowwwwww. did u shoot raw? iso 800? ND filter?
Thanks! Yes, this was shot in raw at ISO 800 with ND
@@davidevans000 can u explain some basic steps u did to achieve these colors? u don't have to explain all out but just some quick tips. Thanks
@@tlfilms207 much of the look is already printed in the bmpcc+cooke combo but I also like to use the Dehancer tool to take it a step further to a more film like look. Try the different film stocks in Dehancer. It really is a powerful tool. Best of luck!
@@davidevans000 cooke combo? Whats that. Also i use davinci resolve to edit, not sure what u mean by dehancer?
@@tlfilms207 cooke combo means a combination between the camera and a cooke branded lens.
the colors are awesome, can u give me quick tips on how u colored it?
This is awesome. Love the colors. Ever think about doing a coloring tutorial?
Nice one! :)
