Glouceswich junction
United Kingdom
Приєднався 15 кві 2013
Hi guys, this is Glouceswich Junction, and on my channel, I mostly do running sessions, reviews, and the occasional trainspotting video. Everything on this channel is mostly GWR themed mainly because that's my favourite area in the UK.
For anyone who is wondering how I came up with the name Glouceswich Junction, it's GLOUCESter and IpsWICH combined together, Gloucester because it is all GWR and high speed trains also my family live that side of the UK so it has a special meaning to me, and Ipswich because of all the freight trains.
Go check out my Instagram page where I post regular pictures of the layout or what is happening to the layout plus sometimes my day to day life sometimes just even a rant.
I also stream over on twitch my username is itz_danny02 I have put a link on the channel so feel free to head over there. I stream every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7pm GMT till 9pm.

I model in N scale. This is why before I purchase any rolling stock, loco's, carriages, I research the dimensions. After purchasing 10 carriages for my Indian Pacific NR class loco (yes I'm Australian), I had to do some curved platform alterations. The IP cars are VERY long... 150mm N scale.
Glouceswitch :-). Hello there old friend :-). This is indeed a good video of the O gauge model railway you have when you took this video of it and you quite confidently operating the model railway itself :-). Very good video indeed :-). Well made I must say :-). Take care and many happy wishes Glouceswitch :-). From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK :-D :-D :-).
I've just got one it's a small pain the small screw under the tender was fine the front one took a bit of doing, the 2 screws to remove the plastic protecter are easy to remove God they are long the engine itself is brilliant outstanding bit of kit
Can I have your train for my sons birthday
Hi. What DCC decoder have you put in this, as I seem to remember reading some while ago, that unless you get the factory sound version, there isn’t a decoder in the market that will allow you to access all the different lighting options? Thanks
Thats a good question, im not 100% sure I think if you want to operate all the light functions you need the 21 pin 6 function chip, the more functions the chip has the more things it can control I know there not cheap either around £25-35 I believe
I came from the 220 review 😭 you sound so different
I know 🥲😂 I hate my voice when you can hear that much of a comparison 😑
Nice collection of GWR HST's 😀
Hi just come across your channel so I subscribed great video look forward to seeing some more videos
Thank you, there is some good news in the very near future so stay tuned
Nice video like it very much.Thumb's up from diesel dave.
Thank you im glad you like it
@@glouceswichjunction2009 No worries and Thank you very much for replying to my comment. I would love if you could take a quick look at my page and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Nice train. Love those shelves and I have that Clipper 👍
Thank you, luckily I managed to get the shelves for free from my train club I go to
I saw this on the line to Saltburn when I was going to shildon and found the model of it in the model shop there.
Island of Sodor Song.
The line was first opened and ran on the 16th June 1887. City of London's Jack the Ripper 1888. Police Bobbies.
I have two of these to come for my birthday this weekend. One is DRS and the other is GBRF. I am going to get more of these. I can fix the axle boxes in required with loctite. My two are okay although I won't know how they run until I get the test loop laid down again. I am looking to get a DB one next and others. Thanks for the video mate and I hope Hattons will do another run of these in the future. Also I hope Hattons will make a Class 185 and a Class 60.
Happy birthday, that's great stuff having more shed in the collection, that would be awesome if hattons did a class 60
I’ve got this one lol, it’s was my first new hornby model, I was so excited
Great to see you getting on with it. Good review
Thank you
How wide is ur layout? Looking good
It's just under 8ft long and just under 5ft wide
@@glouceswichjunction2009 thank you. Hoping to have one in my garage and was thinking about space.
@@dcb_trains hopefully you can have a layout that'll be great stuff
So THAT'S what you look like 😁
Mathematical note: O gauge is 1:48 and 00 gauge is 1:76.2 so each one dimensional measurement is 76.2 ÷ 48 = 1.5875 times longer on the 0 gauge. But the model is in 3 dimensions so you have to take the cube of 1.5875 to find the ratio of the overall size. That comes out at almost exactly 4 times larger than the 00 gauge
the 0 gauge is 1:48 in the USA, in Germany is 1:45 and in UK is 7mm to 1ft it means 1:43,5. It means volume (mass) of 0 gauge is 5,33 larger than 00.
@@jankochanowski3252 Can't fault your maths ;)
That's an incredibly detailed cabin 😯
I think its my most detailed loco I have in my whole collection
"Take your time and find the right hole" Great philosophy there Glouceswich 😉
I can almost smell the fresh cardboard 😋
Bonjour mon ami 😉👍Hello my friend 👍😀great update 👍beautiful unboxing 💪I like this model 👍congrats buddy good morning of France 👍🇫🇷😉
Bonjour Jean Marc. Sometimes the French word "de" translates as "of" but in this case it should be "from". Use "from" if you're talking about a place I hope that helps ;)
That’s a great video. Loved the HST model. I rode on the first HST to go from Bath Soa to London. Great train.
Thank you, that sounds a great trip from Bath Spa to London
Great Video. Beautiful model train.

I have a few clips of trains running on this layout if ypu want me to put them on a montage and upload that for todays video?
That would be great. I enjoyed your video in the class 158. Well presented.
@@peterbradford5987 thank you

Thank you for informing me I actually didn't know that
That was another great review one of my favorite Trains and of course the other one is the EWS
Thank you
Terrific video :-). Nice :-). Interesting and was certainly fun to watch heralding the enjoyment :-). You've certainly done a great deal of brilliant work on your model railway it looks tremendously excellent :-). A lot of technological logistical learning to get through holistically with this but this does bring thriving interest off to myself almost certainly it truly does its just terrific having to catch all this information for granted via this delightfully interesting video :-). A big graphic catch having greatly pointed out too goodness gracious :-O. Thanks so much indeed for helping other rail enthusiast trainspotters learning all the technological stuff either to catch up with or for early learners who need to understand all of this within the learning haul :-). Thanks so much indeed for sharing this excellent video and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos on your channel whether its our not surprisingly rail trainspotting habit or your model railway once its fully completed in doing its works :-). Thanks so much indeed :-). Take grave care of yourself and have a nice evening :-D :-). See you later Glouceswitch :-). All the best :-D :-). From your new friend Foxy 🤝🏻🤝🏻 :-D :-D :-).
Thank you very much mate I am going to start uploading two videos a week mostly of model railway reviews so keep tuned
Its my very pleasure Glouceswitch :-). Of course I'll look forward to seeing them good on you Glouceswitch my good man :-). Will you ever do trainspotting videos at all sporadically Glouceswitch inbetween your model rail videos at all? Don't worry if you don't know but please let me know :-). All the best Glouceswitch and take grave care of yourself :-). From your friend Foxy :-).
@@Foxys-Collective-Videography I want to do trainspotting videos but with lockdown and covid 19 restrictions its very hard to do so but I will in the near future
I think a lot of us want to get back to trainspotting Glouceswitch but yes lockdowns and Covid-19 restrictions make it tricky yes. Thanks indeed. But we'll be freely trainspotting again one day in our free time that's not in doubt :-). All the best and take care Glouceswitch :-). From Foxy :-).
@@Foxys-Collective-Videography I guess its almost a new world we live in now and take care of yourself foxy
Shame this looks a big layout.
If I remember rightly I think it was 9ft/10ft long and 5ft/6ft wide but they dampness got it in the end hopefully my new layout will look better
@@glouceswichjunction2009 Where are you going to put your new layout, you could buy large plastic sheets and cover your layout over when your not using it,that might help.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 im putting it in my shed at home its a very dry shed whereas the last layout was at my aunts and it was a wooden shed without insulation
@@glouceswichjunction2009 Great I look forward to seeing your layout,I,ve started mine in the loft.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 thats a good place to build a layout
Your using Peco code 75,same as me,its very easy to bend than the older Peco tracks and I got my strips of wood from Savoys timber and glued them for my HST collection.
Thank you very much I want to do something similar with mine because I have four HSTs and 2 on order so they will look good 👍😊
Good video Danny, looking forward to seeing more 👍🏻
Thanks mate it should look good
The class 220 windows are like that on the cross country livery, it's the class 222 meridians that look mirrored. Other than that, great review
Thank ypu for letting me know this I didnt realise that
