Random sequencing
Переглядів 7021 день тому
Song recorded live using Senode on iPad which generates music traversing paths randomly. Sequence fed to Korg Module pro for the piano sound. I like the idea of generative music which can go forever with random variations. I’ll link to another UA-camr in the comments who I reviewed a few sequencing apps on IOS.

Five notes repeating for an hour
Переглядів 1033 місяці тому
Five notes D#, E, G#, A#, B repeating for an hour with some random offsets to avoid repetition. Heavy use of reverb for ambient effect. Made with Beatmakers 3 and Korg Module Pro
Really good match up of music/beats and visuals!! What would you call this style of electronica? Ambient Techno?????
Thanks! I’m not sure the style actually, was going for something a bit more upbeat. Maybe a bit of trance here? Learned new technique of side chaining which helps the kick pierce through…
@@KOelectronic Thanks for the explanation - and the new vocabulary!! Side-chaining sounds interesting, although I don't think my vintage software can manage it????
Thanks…. It must be the sine lead here which sounds like a theremin. I always liked cheesy TV electronic music of past 👍
Hi KO!! I've no doubt said this before, but this style reminds me of late 1970s/early 1980s library albums offering 'of the moment' electronic music for radio stations, video producers, corporate stuff etc. I used to collect these records before they became too expensive!!
good job
nice one +1 sub☝🤠☝💢
Thanks and welcome!
An accomplished piece of electro-ambient!! Nicely chilled out now, so can get on with the rest of my day with renewed energy!!
Thanks!
I am enjoying the longer format compositions.
Thanks tinwhisperer!
Hi KO, Takes me back a bit this, as I experimented with randomly generated midi sequences and fed them into sound modules back in the 90s. You're doing a lot better that I did!!!!
Huh I thought I saw you said your setup still had some legacy stuff. Maybe you weren’t kidding lol. I dabbled a bit in high school (late 90s) with cheap keyboard and wave editor (built into windows)… but only recently started tinkering again. Tools that are available now are impressive for sure. I think this was just an experiment but want to have a little more unpredictability with randomness. I played it safe here one note at a time largely from one chord (E Major 9), then later just transposed. Ultimate goal would be more random while have minimal constraints informed by music theory to keep it sounding pleasant. For some reason I’m going to extreme lengths to not learn how to play piano lol….
@@KOelectronic Yes, still largely using the PC set-up I put together in the late '90s, OS Windows 98!! Good luck with your experiments!!
Cool

Nice work, KO!!! You certainly caught the New Age vibe! Eye-catching, complementary visuals! An ambitious piece that you pull off!!!
@@MalleableSoundThanks!!
Do you make the visuals?
It’s visualization app called Vythm on IOS.
@@KOelectronic they're pretty cool, I like your channel a lot
Another KO (Knock-Out) from KO!!!! An expert pastiche of 70s/80s-style electronica. This reminded me of the type of electronic music that turned up on 'library' LPs in the period, music to be used on TV and radio stuff!! Graphics have that similar retro feel!!
Thanks MallaebleSound! I’m a fan of the early synth sound of that era…. Brian eno, tangerine dream, klause shultze….
I fell asleep to this and had cool dreams
@@celeneparker7898 thanks for listening… that’s an interesting side effect.
Nice electronics with kaleidoscopic images! Soothing and hypnotic!!!
Contains flashing images...which are actually super dope. Nice track, thumbs up.

Soooo true! Love it!

margret fathcer was wearing a mask in milltown that happened to look like mr stone. he did nothinh.
ok
@@KOelectronic cold like tht
@@KOelectronic I apologise for my comment may I say that Margret Thatcher although disliked did not perpetrate the heinous Milltown Massacre and that Michael Stone was the sole perpetrator of the attack and has served his time and has been released under the Belfast Agreement and has turned his life around (except for when he attempted to kill the most senior politicians in Northern Ireland and bomb the parliament) and is now an artist.
This is the right place
This video tickles my brain in a good way
Thanks KO!! Quite an '80s feel to this with the sample of a political figure from the past!! (Unnerved me a bit when Maggie Thatcher bounced in)!! Nicely retro!!
Iceberg video music
Thanks KO!! Quite a retro feel to this one with some intriguing individual sounds!! Always enjoy blobby things swirling around the screen!!
Hi KO, I'm returning the compliment and checking out your music!! I thought I'd start at the beginning! A great opener!! Amazing how young (?) musicians can create all this on a laptop - mind boggling to me!!!!!! Thanks for taking the effort to produce complementary visuals, it always adds greatly to the overall experience and is something I look for!! 😀
Thanks for visiting! Visualizes uses some presets of an app I use, Vythm
This sounds like if it was windy underwater
Wow, I'm impressed. This is better than the soundscapes I make. I would like to make something like this but I have I hard time transitioning between sounds so smoothly like you do.
Thank you! I start with a short loop just making sure the layers work together. Then use automation to have each layer increase and decrease volume differently over the longer track.
When You put a Dot M P 3 File on Windows Media Player:
This is good
Thanks!
I like your sound!! Good job, if ya ever wanna collab on a track, let me know
Art?
It's from the visualization program I'm using, Vythm. This is the thumbnail UA-cam selected after uploading. It's just one frame of the video

Strangely satisfying.
I got no idea what I’m looking at here but this is really well made man. Very interesting visuals paired with the music. Keep doing ur thing
Glad you enjoyed it!

Likely the long format. I put this on to fall asleep to the other night.
