😢
What a pretty neon pothos! They are so underrated! I’m currently working/propping my neon philo which I want to combine with my neon pothos props. I think that’ll be a real pretty combo.
Oh that would be! I’ve got a very small neon philodendron because I love my neon Pothos so much. I hope it’s a pretty quick grower as it’s only tiny
Honey, that will root much faster in moist sphagnum moss or soil (place in a large clear bag for a few weeks). I had a HUGE one (probably 5 times the size of yours) and was forced to chop some of it off. I tried a whole bunch of tactics. Rooting in water was the slowest and often had very low success rates. Good luck with yours.
I’ve been propergating for 6+ years and water has always been more successful and faster for me 🤗
@@AbiBloomUK Well, I am glad it works for you. I've been propagating for more than 50 years now, and lots of things do fine in water. I just had a harder time with the tetrasperma and also my Monstera Esqueleto. Takes forever to root in water for me.
That philodendron paraiso verde is part of my collection 💚 not that small anymore and I for sure didn’t pay £299 🎉
Oh so lucky! They have really good prices, some of the best but I’ve not bought from them in years due to the pests they come with. It’s not worth it in my opinion 🫠
@@AbiBloomUK yeah I totally get that. Most gardens centre around me are the same. Can I ask where you now buy your rare plants from?
@@Bythegraceofme yeah same for me. I feel like it’s got worse since brexit which should really have seen it got better with all the checks 🤓 I don’t really buy any rare plants anymore but if I was I would on eBay or Instagram from private collectors or Grow Tropicals are very good 👍🏼
Love your plants and hope little one recovers fast❤
Thank you! He’s made a speedy recovery and is already sleeping better now the sleep Apena has been resolved 🤗
@@AbiBloomUK 😇🤗😘glad to hear that
The first Hoya that you showed have a mealy bug hiding. Can you please check?
Good spot! Itdoes, I noticed it a few weeks back but haven’t got around to sorting it out. It’s had on and off mealy bugs for years. So strange it goes in winter but comes back again.
Love your videos. I am so envious of your albos. They are fabulous!
Thank you Margaret, that means a lot. My albos are pretty lovely! I’m not a patient person and like to propagate a lot but glad I left these to grow 🤓
I love it that you want normal plants. Me too.
I do. I’m a simple plant kinda gal 🤗
Huge differences! I remember your first Before & After video a few years ago 😊
Love your plants.
you still look the same (Gorgeous) like in the Video you made 3 years ago, which i just watched
Aw thank you so much! I wished I did in real life though. Definitely have grey hairs and less of a law line since becoming a mum 😂
i bought some tomato plants , who already had some green Tomatoes on it. as soon as i planted them outside , i was raining EVERY days for weeks and no sunshine at all ! (Northern Ireland) of course they all died. I try again next year but will buy me one of those mini plastic greenhouses.
Aw sorry to hear that. My tomatoes outside are big and weirdly shaped but still green. The greenhouse ones are much smaller and also still green. It’s been a weird summer so I don’t blame them but I hope they make it
I found out that Neem cake power was good for Plants and keep bugs away, i ordered some organic Neem cake and placed it on all my Plants. Within a week all the soil got Moldy and several of my Plants got sick (young leaves were cover with black bugs) i now have ordered Provanto Smart Bug Killer and hope it will do the job. I have Billions of Gnuts as well !
Oh wow, I’ve never heard of it. I’ll look into that, thanks!!
I was looking for a Bug Killer for my Plants and now i am in LOVE ;-) what was the product again
🤓😇🥰
You just reminded me that I need to I need to buy some tomato fertiliser. Nice video :)
Thanks so much! Hope your tomatoes and growing in nicely
Hiya! Seeing the video's a year old, do you mind sharing an updated opinion? I'm looking to sell these all over the UK.
Hey! So I’ve used two together to extend the height. I wouldn’t recommend using them for tall plants as the weight of the plant is too much for the pole. I’ve also not seen any improvement for my plants in terms of leaf size ect. Which I am seeing on a coco coir pole for the same plant type and same size. I think the poles are too small in diameter 😊
Great information. But you need to be more careful about getting the treatment on your skin . Best to wear rubber gloves
The lemon lime is such a cool plant I have one that is just now maturing. The lighter greenish color is normal as it matures you will notice the new leaves will come in a bronzey color and go to a darker green!
Now that is really cool! I can't wait to see it grow. It'll look really cool next to the heart leaf philo too
Hi Abby, does that monstera albo have any nodes left on it? I couldn’t see any so was just going to say as you cut that grown node off the left over large leaf will not grow again it’s now a spent node 😊
@@lilkat85 I had the same thought when o made the cut. I think it’s a spent node but need to check, which is fine if it is. The new growth will keep the legacy of it alive 😂
@@AbiBloomUKit’s beautiful either way 😊
@@lilkat85 thank you 😇
Was thinking the same 😂
@@AhmadAsrafHashim I'll keep you both updated 😂
Was planning on heading to Deans this weekend, might avoid with all the pests 😮
I love Deans but I’ve not seen it pest free ever before. If I love a plant and it’s a good price I’ll risk it and quarantine it. They’ve got a beautiful new delivery though!
@@AbiBloomUK might be worth it just for the cafe and cake 🤣. Thank you x
@@bylaurenjane enjoy! I’m jealous 🤗 I regret not getting a rose bush from my visit 💐
Seems Dean's is now owned by the same company as Otley garden centre. Same pest issue there. Everything was cracking with thrips last week. It's a day out, but Cowells near Newcastle has an amazing selection of well looked after plants
@@numpty123ifythey are, they actually sent me a message saying it’s private property now and I can’t film. So I won’t be doing anymore tours unfortunately. The pest issue was pretty intense. The variety is amazing and the prices competitive so if there was a new plant I loved I would consider rehabbing it but still a risk. As a side note, I love Cowells. Only ever shopped online though, need to visit 🌿🙏🏼
The huge variety i have not seen before.we don't have these in new delhi.india.
Really big selection. They’ve definitely got the best I’ve seen 🤗
I definitely do miss your old home with all your plants. And the occasional plant tours that you did. Also the wooden shelves that your husband made for your plants. But definitely being a Mum is hard to manage both. My kid is 10 now so i am enjoying having more time with my plants now. And only buying low maintenance ones and ones that i love and no more wasting money on plants now also ones that can survive in the open space. My collection is a mix of Hoyas, Sansevieria’s, Ficus, Euphoria’s, non spiky cacti and i love my Compact Zenzi variety.
Same! It was a lovely space but everything else about city living wasn’t that great. Those shelves were my favourite. They’re still there and the tenants enjoying them now 😂
As a mum, I can only imagine how scary those experiences were 😢 so glad you’ve got a diagnosis and advocated for your son, amazing 👏🏽
Thank you very much Chantal 🤗
🎉❤
I found Amydrium easy and quite fast growing, but its one of those plants that likes sending out long leafless shotos so it was hard to get a full-looking or bushy plant
I get those long leafless shoots (flowers) all the time. I know it’s a good sign but I would much prefer a leaf 😂 do you have a favourite anthurium?
@@AbiBloomUK To be honest I'm not really an Anthurium person. I has one which I managed to kill in about a fortnight and that was it!
@@user-eo7nz5zc6r oh no haha 🤪 I’m glad I’m not the only one 😅
Could you please tell me how to reset the maximum and minimum readings in the "memory" column of this thermometer?
Nice video! That is a pair of scissors for cutting sheet metal 😁
Thank you! I know I need to get some decent plant ones and stop being cheap 😂
Sphagnum moss and perlite mix is the best way to go I have found for rooting these. I have found that if you root them in water you need to literally change the water daily especially when it's warm as the water builds up a green film very quickly which in turn ends up rotting the roots.
Sphagnum and perlite together? My moss prop is doing well as I’ve got clingfilm over it still but no major roots still. The water ones are doing so well. Maybe that’s the problem? Roots going too fast which make it highly likely to get rot
@@AbiBloomUK Yeah mix them together. It works a treat!
I used perlite to save my Monstera Thai and they rooted successfully. Good luck with your Albo, I think you should be able to save your cuttings :)
Next time I’m in town or B&Q I’ll try find a bag of it. I haven’t had it in the house for years 🥺
I have a stem root
Sorry to hear that. Hope you’re managing to get rid of it 🙏🏼
Happy leaf won't be a very happy leaf if you put it in low light. Trust me I did the same thing and all the white on the leaves turned brown.
It’s been in various spots though. Bright indirect, low light etc never been an issue with browning leaves but its growth rate is slow. It’s quite a compact grower if that makes any sense? My n’joys grow like weeds. Weird!
@@AbiBloomUK mine used to until I moved it from my South facing window to my North..It didn't like it one bit. Luckily I managed to salvage some of it and it's now growing happily again in my south facing window. I'm UK North so maybe my North facing window is extra low light compared to others.
Great tutorial. Have you got a link for the site you buy your plants from please?
Here it is! plnts.com/en
It's common for people to say the Anthurium Clarinervium is a good starter Anthurium but in my opinion this isn't true. A Magnificum or Crystallinum would be better options. I have loads of Anthurium most of them imports that grow really well but my Clarinervium which was my first is by far my slowest grower. Please don't let it stop you from enjoying the genius, it's definitely not you. The Forgettii x you showed is beautiful. I know you're near Dean's they have some beautiful baby Anthurium which make great starters and aren't very expensive, I've got several I'm growing up from them. 🌿
That’s so good to hear! Thank you very much for sharing. I always see beautiful anthurium in Deans and because of my lack of growth experience it’s put me off but I’ll definitely go for it next time 🎉🤗
Something relaxing about watching someone else work 😉 Its looking really good! Love the trendy shades 💚
Glad you enjoyed and thank you for the compliment! Prescription sunnies are a game changer 🙏🏼
Hi, What plant would you recommend for a bathroom with no window.
No plant! A plant need sunlight to live. I learnt this the hard way at the beginning. Try a faux plant, you can get really good ones!
@@AbiBloomUK Hi thanks, I know.. I can't do Faux... I'll try dried flowers.. Happy 🪴 Best wishes with your Channel🎉
You go girl! ❤
Thank you so much 👌🏼
Anyone know if I can give it to an Areca palm?
You only have your Albo’s and Thai’s now in your collection. All the plants that you had in your old home are all gone? 😥
No I still have lots. I’ve moved duplicates on and some plants I wasn’t in love with but have the majority 🤗
Glad you are back😊
Thank you so much, me too! 🙏🏼
It’s lovely to see another Monstera momma, I’m a 1 1/2 year new to the plant mom life and I’ve found a love for Monsteras and their big leaves lol. Along with pothos. 💚💚💚
Oh great choices! Scindapsus are also a good one if you love those two types of plants 🙏🏼
hi, why the Lyme wash on your raised borders?
Hi! It’s very high alkaline so insects/slugs don’t like it! However we’ve had some slugs still so it’s not an absolute deal breaker. Also protects the timber 😁
@@AbiBloomUK Thanks for the update, might give it try
Is your garden back yard? Looks really big. Almost like a farm. Can do so much. Cannot wait when i have a garden to plant some big trees mainly. And more concrete and less grass. Cause i have allergies. Also a glass green house. Love to see more of your renovations of your new home. And the grand final home tour.
It’s a community allotment in a farmers field. I wish it was our garden! Garden is still a project we’re yet to tackle. It’s very nice to have this space in the meantime. Plan on sharing Reno videos soon. Mainly on Our Yorkshire Cottage UA-cam channel but some behind the scenes on this channel. 🙏🏼
And she's back 😃 Looks a lot of work but will be very rewarding!! 👍💚
Thank you very much!! Glad to be back. Yes it’s a lot of work, way more than we anticipated but so fun!
Looking forward to this!
Welcome back.
Thank you! 🎉
It was great to see the updates at the end, that new shoot at the top of the plant looks tricky and juicy so you might get a biggish leaf hopefully. X
You could sell me a cutting 😬
I have a few left 🙏🏼
Hey Abi! Why not try round washing up bowls for the self-watering system. They're cheap as chips (I often leave my plants in them if I'm away for a period of time). You can also plant chunky semi-hydro straight into nursery pots with a net at the bottom and use them as reservoir containers! 💚
Oh I’ll have to try this! Thanks for the idea 💡
after finally growing a successful standard green monstera deliciosa, I have just bought a tiny thai constellation and I hope it one day looks like yours!
You’ll be great at growing it! Best tip is to not over think it 🙏🏼
Have you gone or will you return? I hope it's the latter, such a nice channel 💚
Hello! I haven’t gone. I’ve got a few videos lined up which will hopefully be uploaded in a couple of weeks. Lots around plants (of course) and my new allotment pot. Thanks for checking in on me 💛
@@AbiBloomUK Great news! I will look forward to your new content! Thank you for the update 💚
