I was born and raised in Minnesota where the Loon is the State Bird. I absolutely love their call. So beautiful!!

Around 5 years ago i visited an in law family member of mine who lives in the US, she invited me and my wife to go camping near a lake, i forget the name of the lake but when wake up in the foggy morning on that lake, i heard the call, it was so beautiful yet haunting at the same time, i was also lucky enough to heard an elk bugle far away, and owl hooting near the campsite, combine it with the gentle sound of the waves, the crackling sound of the camp fire as well as the eeriness of the morning fog, it was like i was in another world.

Thank you. I am Canadian but have been living in Australia for 2 years. This reminds me of one of the best camping/fishing trip I've ever had in Brisco, BC. I miss the peacefulness of a Canadian moutain lake at night with the loons wailing.
