My mom used to do this, and I hated it. Now, while cooking, I find myself doing the same. It's about taking responsibility-she fed everyone, and now it's my turn. Responsibility shouldn’t be limited to women. My brother does this when he cooks too. Growing up, I saw my Nana with only two outfits while everyone else had plenty. It’s about prioritizing others, a value everyone should learn early. When shared, it brings happiness. But if left to a few, it feels like a curse. Let’s normalize kindness and responsibility for all.
