well my friend this will be my first tablet ;d cuz i always draw on books
I like ur style..hope u post more videos
hi, i recently bought ths tablet an i like it so far. I used to use a screenless table so ı decıded to upgrade. My questıon is, is display's scratches normal and is there a way to prevent it?
Hello! I hope you're as happy with your tablet as I am. I will say that yes after 250-300 hours of drawing on this tablet there are way less scratches than I have had on previous tablets I have owned. However, with us scratching with the pen there will always be signs of it being used but nothing that is going to create a groove for your pen to slip into. I hope this helps! I actually prefer to draw on this then my portable Samsung tablet and have found that drawing bigger has helped me improve immensely since I purchased it!
@@carleys.illustration hey, thank you for the answer, my another question is there are some protective layers for scratching. Would you recommend it? And yes i am pretty happy. İ might have had 16" version which would be more beneficial for me. Apart from it, great tablet
@@alpersevdin9296 I do believe there are protective screens you can get for them, but I can't vouch on their effectiveness or the pros and cons of them. I'm very happy that you like it! ❤️ I hope it lasts a long time for you
@@carleys.illustration hey ı got one more questıon, when ı paınt ın Photoshop or Painter; my brush lagging and freezing whıch ı couldnt resolve. Did u have any experıence regardıng this? Thıs sıtuatıon doesnt happen ın Blender's sculpting
OMG.These re some great tips! thanks a lot:D
Thank you so much! Glad you liked them ❤️
Such a cute character 💕
Thank you so much! ❤️
I'm saving this as a reference holy shit 👀
Thank you so much! ❤️
Hi! this was very helpful , im working on becoming a story time animator and this was sooooo helpful
I'm so happy it helped!
hii can't believe i've stumbled upon such a gem!! your art's really pretty! my fav has to be the middle of the bottom row, she just looks very adorable there!! i think you did a really good job with the expression on the bottom right, i've also been really struggling with expressions and stuff of that nature^^ i love your ocs hair, it very fun and pretty!! hope you have a lovely day/night!!
Aww thank you so much! Yeah expressions are very hard, but references always help <3 thanks for the kind words, made my day!
your art is so cute! (also very helpful thank you)
Thank you so much! ❤️
I always default to the same perspectives and poses, i need to practice more different stuff but i find i only get inspired if i have references
Yeah it's really hard to break out of the same poses. Best advice I can give is to practice those boxes in loads of different angles and add the features of the face on top (while using references) and then do it again and try to do it from memory. I've found the poses that I have tried to draw from memory this way tend to come back to me easier when I need it
Nice rendering!
Thank you so much! ❤️
I hope you get monetized soon ❤
Thank you so much! That's the dream 🙂
I always struggled with hands so this series will definitely be a binge watch for me 😂❤️
Haha thank you! Yeah hands are tricky that's for sure 🙌
That's quite the accent you have, it's very subtle.
Haha yeah it is. I'm American but moved to Ireland and picked up bits and pieces from both ends. I'm one of those people that just can't shake either of the accents and they blend together a bit
@@carleys.illustration I picked up on the Ireland part, but I couldn't figure out why it wasn't more pronounced (as Irish accents so often are). The American bit makes sense, though I was going to guess you were in England, and had Irish family or something. But I wasn't hearing any English tells.
I gave my daughter such a tablet. For a year and a half she painted on it, everything was fine. But after a recent update, the program for this tablet does not establish a connection with the tablet. Works only as a second monitor. Tried on two different computers, no connection. :( Maybe someone has encountered such a problem and can tell how to solve it?
did you try unclicking the microsoft ink box in the bottom left corner of the driver?
wow! I wonder did you ever recover from that ?
@@jakyhussain2461 Alas, still not. Although a new driver update has been released. The result is the same.
@@user-resuserOk That's sad. The thing is I am considering buying this, so not a good news. btw you mentioned this happened after an update, as in windows update ?
how did you calibrate yours?
I calibrated mine by using the Huion software it came with. There's an option in the driver's setting you just click that and it'll prompt you to tap the screen in several areas
@@carleys.illustration nah i was talking about colour calibration. the tablet is very saturated. thats an issue. like once i am done with my paintings i send it to a different monitor and it looks desaturated cause the colours are not correct on this one
@@mukundasharma8693 I am not too sure why that is happening to you, on my end I never had to calibrate it for colours and everything has come off of it nicely. It might come down to your program or the way you are saving your files. If you're trying to get stuff printed it could be because of the CMYK/RGB settings in the program Also what kind of monitor are you switching it from? I know some older monitors may not have as good of colour accuracy and I have also heard an LPS monitor is what you need for better colours, but it's hard to say without seeing it
@@mukundasharma8693 with the windows calibrator and reducing the red and green in my case, using the srgb range This is how I managed to make it look very similar to my Asus ProArt. It's not exactly the same but I can trust the color it shows me.
its visible that there is a lag in the strokes, that where huion lacks. i guess every animator/illustrator wont love that. Thanks for sharing the Video
I believe the lag depends on the pc, i have the same tablet and i don't notice any lag. A con i would add is that the pen doesn't have a nice initial pressure, if you press too hard you would not notice it, besides that... for the price, is a no brainer.
that you for this
You're welcome! I'm happy this helps ❤️
I just found you in my recommendations, great turotial vid
Awesome, thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it ❤️
hi
Hello! Thanks for commenting 😊 it helps me so much
My huion 13 tablet is sadly a bit different colors than my laptop and i cant get it to be the same even if i messed with settings... 😔 It makes me upset when i draw something and it looks great on tablet but not on laptop and it always needs playing with settings ☠️ im a bit lazy for all that
Yes! I would bet this has to do with the screen protectors on drawing tablets in general. And if you're posting content online, I always notice a difference in the slight colour shift from my original intentions as well on other devices. It's hard to get used to; but knowing it's a thing can help to make adjustments needed after the piece is finished. I am also too lazy to change it after the fact! 😅
Could that not be corrected by callibrating it with a Spider? Bc it sounds like the same problem I used to have with editing photos. And using the Spider helped.
@@DDDD17890 if i understood correctly after googling, ure refering to a piece of hardware? Sadly i cant spare 100$ :(
@@YuukiuuYik I know the struggle, sorry for that! Maybe you can find one second hand one day. Or borrow it from somebody.
@@DDDD17890 its fine, thank u for suggesting! Didnt know this exists:D

Very Good video. Short and very informative video. I went to your instagram handle and your digital art has improved a lot from 2021. My favourite ones were those which contained lineart along with the color illustrations.
Thank you so much for taking a look! Yes I have been told my lineart is the best part of my art ( and it's honestly my favourite part ) I have only been drawing since summer 2019, so it's nice when someone points out how much I have improved in such a short time. I'm really happy you enjoyed the video, and my art on Instagram! ❤️
@@carleys.illustration You're welcome! Your lineart reminded me of Marc Brunet's art.
@@arpan3813 thank you so much! I am honored to be compared to his work ❤️ he's definitely one of my favorites out there
What program is that? I've been using Krita for a while and it just isn't clicking, so I'm looking to try other programs.
I think the program is clip studio paint :)
I have never liked Krita, I tried it when I first started out digital art and it kept crashing on me. Instead, I use Clip Studio Paint for my tablet and found that videos from @nadiaxel here on UA-cam help with the learning curve of the program. Once you get used to it, it is hard to go back. However, Clip Studio Paint is a program you have to pay for once for PC and yearly for mobile versions. I hope this helps ❤️
You deserve more subscribers
Thank you so much! Any comments, likes, or shares are super appreciative to get the word out ❤️ it really does help me out
@@carleys.illustration sure! Wanna do a collab? I have many ideas and videos in the works plus you can leave the editing to me lol
Meant to reply on this channel lol this is my art channel, I like yours too!
@@phyynanimations I will have a think over on this and get back to you. Thanks ❤️
I want to use a scratchy brush but when I try to color it leaves 200 white specs in the lineart Oh and your vid is awesome. New subscriber 🔥
Thank you so much! Yes I have noticed some brushes when using the colour bucket tool will leave white spaces underneath. If you're using Clip Studio Paint, you can turn up the "area spacing" option so it fills a few pixels bigger, that tends to help. If that doesn't work, I will use a layer under the lineart and colour with a solid brush (like the basic marker brush, just something without texture) and fill the rest in with the bucket that way. Hope this helps ❤️
@@carleys.illustration I’m probably gonna just do the solid brush method most of my time coloring with the full bucket is following the lines and filling in the specs lol Thank you 💙
Can i do detailed sketches with a "One by wacom" tablet? my family just gifted me one for my birthday and im new with all the digital art stuff. It is the small one so im a bit concerned about it, i always drawn in paper so i have no idea f digital art.
Hello! You can absolutely make gorgeous sketches with these kind of tablets. I had a bamboo Wacom tablet for my first tablet when I got into art and I used it for a long time! I also know of an artist called "Sinix Design" and he uses a tablet like yours because it helps his back posture, and his stuff is amazing! A lot of digital art is just trying something until it sticks, it does take a lot of practice to get good at it, but I promise it is worth it if you take the time and practice a lot! I hope this helps and please never stop drawing my friend ❤️
@@carleys.illustration Thanks Friend, by the way do you think i should stop at traditional art if im starting with digital?
@@francopereyra6659 no, keep drawing what makes you happy, wether it is traditional or digital. I still do traditional art, I just do not post it on my socials or do it as much ❤️
Hii, you may want to change the Instagram and Twitter links under the video description since they don't lead to any pages or at least lead to inactive ones (pages not found). Also the video is wonderful <3
Oh thank you so much! I will update them ASAP. I'm happy the video was helpful 😊
When I clicked on this vid and saw how you draw I automatically assumed that you must have so many views and likes. You deserve millions of those!!! I love the way you explain<3 Please keep making more tutorials, they help a lot! Btw, would you consider making a tutorial about coloring your characters?
Thank you so much! Your comments, likes, and shares are very appreciated and will help me get this information out to more people! ❤️❤️ I also only started uploading semi-regularly on UA-cam very recently when I have the time. Absolutely, yes! I am hoping to have more tutorials out this year as well ❤️
I'll be looking forward to it!
Thank you for this! I'm just getting started with digital painting and so this was very much needed. <333
You're welcome! I hope it really helps, and happy drawing! Digital art has a learning curve to it, but if you stick with it, it'll pay off I promise ❤️
