It's a classic in the field and provides valuable insights into the psychology behind persuasion. In addition to this, "Mind games" by Christopher Hednagy is an interesting read on this topic.

    Communist State is a self-contradiction. Did you do any research for this? Like reading the communist manifesto at least?

    • @theexplanators
      @theexplanators 18 днів тому

      What specific aspects of communism do you think are contradictory to the concept of state?

    • @Ukalnsk
      @Ukalnsk 18 днів тому

      @@theexplanators A state is a entity by which a government and/or class expresses its power. The state is used to keep the ruling groups in power and to quell down dissent against the state. This does not necessarily necessitate violent means, but it often is or at least the presence of potential violence when things start getting hot. Under communism, this is not the case, at least in theory, since the form of governance is not anymore expressed through a state, but through the organic self-organization of society cooperatievly. This basically means everyone works together because it is to their collective benefit (no more class conflict). Personally, id guess a pure communism isnt possible and there will always be some emergency institution which is called out in times of crisis or even just minor problems, like a voluntary politce force or milita. So yeah, this is my answer(:

    • @theexplanators
      @theexplanators 18 днів тому

      Your assumption that communism requires a complete absence of authority overlooks the need for coordination and collective decision-making in any complex society. However, communism seeks to empower the community, not eliminate governance altogether.

    • @Ukalnsk
      @Ukalnsk 18 днів тому

      @@theexplanators The elimination of authority is not the elimination of governance, as I explained before. A person can be a "ruler" but not posses authority. Anyhow, this is all very theoretical and a internet debate, so its not really worth while for us to debate this for another 100 comments.

    • @Ukalnsk
      @Ukalnsk 18 днів тому

      well, at least in theory of course, since a communist society has never come about we do not know how it would look like in practice. This is all very theoretical. What I think is more likely is a mixed system between socialism and communism, where most retain some form of authority, while another part of society, likely a smaller part, embraces total communism.

    "Research has dispelled the notion of a sugar high." OK, but I was at by friend's house one morning and his kids were so still I forgot they were there, until he gave them some orange juice and I swear they ran over every square foot of floor space in that house 10 times in the next hour. Maybe it's not the sugar, but something flipped their switches from "off" to 11.

    3:50 No one really says that going out with wet hair in cold weather *causes* colds. What it does is cause a bodily reaction which reduces the bloodflow in critical areas of your respiratory tract, enhancing the possibility of already present viruses to infiltrate it. Or, in other words, it reduces your immune defense. So yeah, doing that is still not a good idea, even if it technically isn't the immediate cause of a cold.

    Chameleons don't change their colour neither for camouflage, nor for light and temperature. While light and temperature conditions can affect their ability to change colour, the primary reason is reflekting their mood to communicate with other chameleons, such as signaling mating intentions, or defending their territory.

    • @theexplanators

      Light and temperature influence the chameleons to change their color for sure!

    • @DoloresLehmann
      @DoloresLehmann 22 дні тому

      @@theexplanators Light and temperature make the chameleons' colours lighter or darker. Like, you put a leaf on the animal and the skin will show the outlines of the shadow. 0:48 🤣What a joke. "Being less politically passionate" is not really a unique trait for moderates, because that's just a personal choice that anybody else can make on their own. So, therefore, you don't really have to be a moderate in order to do that. And, also there's no such thing as "apoliticism", either, because it's not really an ideology, to begin with. It's just a personal choice that you make on your own. That'll be no different than saying that you really need an ideology in order to be apathetic towards certain things such as sports, video games, and movies. When in reality, you really don't. Golly geez. I really cannot believe that there are some people who really believe in this non-sensical crap.
