Tunel Pitve-Zavala, na otoku Hvaru, povezuje mjesto Pitve u središtu otoka sa Zavalom i još nekoliko naselja na južnoj strani otoka - Ivan Dolac, Jagodna i Sveta Nedjelja. Tunel je dugačak 1400 metara i nema rasvjete, širok je 2,3 metara i 2,7 metara visok. Smjer prometovanja se regulira semaforima na ulazima. Cesta kroz tunel je asfaltirana. Otvoren je 24.11.1963. godine. Tunel također ima tajnu. S lijeve strane, nedugo nakon ulaska u tunel iz Pitve, možete vidjeti - vrata. Još veće iznenađenje je ono što je iza vrata. Hladni uvjeti tunela očito su savršeni za spremanje vina, kojeg koristi vodeći hvarski vinogradar Zlatan Otok. Tunel je oštro izrezbaren početkom šezdesetih, za potrebe vodoopskrbe, koji se za tu namjenu nije koristio, već je zbog prometne izoliranosti južnoga dijela otoka, prenamijenjen u cestovni tunel. Prije je bila samo stara staza preko planine do Zavale.

The tunnel was carved in the early sixties, for the purpose of water supply, but not used for that purpose, due to the traffic isolation of the southern part of the island, it was repurposed into a road tunnel. Before, there was only an old path across the mountain to Zavala.
