I stayed at this hotel as well when I visited DC, and it was excellent, so much so that the next time I'm in DC - hopefully soon - I'll be staying there again! It's easily one of the most convenient hotels near the National Mall, since it's directly south of everything and only about 5-10 minutes away on foot, which meant that I could never get lost walking to and from the hotel during my visits to the museums and monuments :)
