My local route 221. It has some good deals but here I wanna talk about a tender that would really suit it if it EVER came to life. Now 221 is Arriva, right? I might get attacked for this, but Arriva is kinda dead icl. So I’m thinking it should be awarded to Metroline. Why? Because in the Turnpike Lane area, there’s barely any Metroline action happening, only 231 is operated by Metroline, and there is 0 Metroline action in Wood Green. And I really think 221 really does suit Metroline. Now what buses am I thinking? I’m thinking a few BDEs (E400EV) and a batch of WDEs (Vision Zero Electroliners). Some that the 113 are about to use and some of its own. Sick and tired of the 7 year contract even though it was already retained. LIKE HOW IS THIS FUCKING ARRIVA GROUP EVEN HAVING THE QUINTESSENTIAL PROPERTIES TO RETAIN THESE ROUTES. Like some of them need a break. Like the 184 for example, got taken by GAL General not so long ago. Arriva had it for years. So yeah. This basically is what I want to see for my local bus route.
