My Son has had a support group for over a year on Zoom

My Dad was hospitalized in Aug to Sept for 16 days and was treated for Covid. After four weeks in Oct, he was admitted again in the hospital for 14 days because of mild pneumonia, severe swelling of his face, neck, arms, abdomen, legs and feet. It was so scary that he looked so different. He was treated for the severe swelling all over his body. He had ultrasound, chest xray, 2d echo with doppler, ecg and bloodworks several times during his hospitalization. All his organs were doing good and normal. The swelling was so bad and that his water intake was controlled and he had diuretics for three weeks though he was discharged. He will have series of blood work in a week then a follow up check with his doctor.

Currently suffering from long covid. This was very helpful for me to understand.

I was hospitalized with Covid-19 in February of 2021in Covid-19 ICU for 7 days and since then, I have been dealing with a smell of something burning that will not go away and also I have trouble finding words when I am talking with someone. Before Covid-19, In 2017, I was diagnosed with Leukemia but I was at Stage 0. After Covid-19 Leukemia symptoms appeared out of nowhere. Now I have to have infusions and take a daily pill 2x a day. My spine is always hurting with a burning pain. Yes, this virus is real and damaging. At the same time that I had Covid, my sister died from it in another hospital from where I was. It is so ignorant for people to still be walking around claiming this is not real!!!!
