    Did you make it? Or buy it, please let me know, I want to protect them from big birds. This cage feeder looks like safe for them. I just love this feeder.

      Thank you. I made it. Costly, but wanted it to be just so and the birds love it. The cage screen has 1.5" openings, so Cardinals can get in, along with juvenile blackbirds (unfortunately), but not adults, although they come around it. It is still a work in progress and should be finished soon. Will list the supplies purchased in the description. May try to make a similar cage feeder with smaller mesh and put up a video, if it gets finished.
