Recital Cymbal Drum Malfunctions
Somtimes there are Malfunctions in a Drum Recital and here are a few in a Compilation. Other years will have more as well. The most Common is hitting the crash to hard and the stand gives out and folds. But sometimes the cymbal will actually come off if it wasn't tight or tightened enough. All kinds of Crazy things can happen, but most importantly, you always keep going with the music without stopping. Just like a band performance! Good job to these students for continueing even though there was a problem!

I'm impressed, but I'm thinking you don't really know the song that well as you're clearly following the sheet music. Learn the song away from the kit. Just listen to it and it will embed itself in your memory. Eventually you will play the song and you will know where the breaks are, etc. With this you will flow better and not be hindered by reading and playing every note that is written. Sheet music helps, but it can also be a hindrance. Keep it up and good luck
