What you were saying is that the grapple rotates so that logs can be loaded crosswise or parallel. Some grapples rotate manually and some rotate hydraulically.

Fine restoration job. I did my 98, 650G LGP but not to that much detail. I loved the foot steer. Kept mine for 10 years and sold for more than I paid for it. I do miss it.

Why not cut it up and chop it into firewood for later use?

what I did on my nissan maxima, was use double stick table on a flat head screw drier to push in the new stopper and old the stopper to the flat head screw driver, then removed the double stick foam tape from it. then re-install he break light switch. of course I had to take it out first . Nissan is easier to install the switch but they go out more often. trade off I guess.
