Rhoads wrote this solo… must’ve written it before he left and they just had Cavazo play it in his own way a few years later for Metal Health. (If you study Randy’s solos, there’s tons of obvious classical patterns he uses. And this solo is littered with “Randyisms”. The most obvious is tons of 16ths notes in one of the sections, with classical sounding phrasing slowly moving up to a high bending note, with tons of vibrato. A similar pattern is seen at the end of the solo in Crazy Train. Then you start with those complex pentatonic patterns, where there’s hammer ons and pull offs from one string to another. Randy loved to create complex patterns with pentatonic, and you see this all over his live Suicide Solution solo at the beginning. That’s all Randy. No one else solos like that.) These guys made a hit post-Randy by using one of the guy’s unreleased solos. They must have.
