My name is Randy. My wife and I retired at 60 years of age. Our plan is to travel in the United States as much as possible in the future. We have no desire to travel internationally; there is too much to see and do within the USA!
We do not own a camper. We travel and stay in the hotels and motels across the USA. I do my best to show the viewers of my videos what we see. Hope you enjoy!

Umm.. Bit of a correction for ya.. Its the Arizona/Utah state line. You have to drive 20+ miles thru the Virgin gorge to get to the Arizona/Nevada state line.
Been there, done that. So no need to watch. However, a side trip down Hell's Backbone is needed.
ua-cam.com/video/QEfQel56TpA/v-deo.html Been there done that. Here is Hell's Backbone from a few years ago.
My favorite Southern Utah MC ride all the way to Torrey.
Used to live in St. George UT. drove this hundreds of times. Really beautiful gorge.
Great video. In a month, I intend to do this drive (weather permitting) - but coming from the direction of Castle Dale.
Thank you! Very nice video.
Stunning captures😍 Thank you👍
Being from Morenci, I learned how to drive a manual transmission on this route in 1975. Back then it was Hwy 666.
Beautiful drive
Yes! When I was teaching at Middlebury College 2000-2015, I enjoyed driving about the state on weekends, and Route 100 was one of my favorite highways to follow. Many mesmerizing memories. Thank you for screening!
Ive crawled around this entire canyon .. this is my escape and i use this video to get me hyped for the next camping season when i go back out there 2 to 3 times.
This video is probably the best representation I’ve seen of that road here on UA-cam. I had to make a delivery to the facility located at the top of that mesa and my nerves were on edge the entire time. Never again, God willing.
hey dr lassetter!
Dale3x8~hiya!. omg!so professional sharing, =)
Ty for posting, I'll be so thankful when we can have our road back, the deer on these backroads are insane especially when you head to work at 4 am
Very Nice! Thank You! 😊
Thank you sir !
mannnnnn, I'm so ready for this bridge to open!!! I'm tired of Oak Grove Rd...lolol
Harley and Anabel were really good friends of mine
This is taking so long, it's been 7 months, but they can get the one near the jail done in like a few weeks
Nice job
My Grand mother on my mom side was born in Tombstone AR. My Great Grand father is in Boot HIll.
Where is this?
Highway 27 between LaGrange and Pine Mountain, Georgia.
Beautiful. So much talent.
My Father helped build that track. It was Top Secret, but everybody in Springdale and Hurricane knew about it. Especially when they were going to have a test sled firing. People would go out and line up on the road and wait for the sled to go over the edge. Entertainment was simpler back then.
Omg it’s groovin up the halls I loved that pice so much
That was awesome!!!
It's kinda weird seeing me in a video by someone else
I was there
Thanks for sharing. Planning an adventure into this area which is how I came across you video. Your drone footage gave a good prospective of the area. Thanks again and enjoy your traveling retirement! 😀👍
I drove this road in the fall of 2019 and its condition was so good that I referred to it as 'one step from being blacktopped', something that I hope never happens. With it would come defined lanes . One of the nice things about the road as it exists is that for an amateur photographer like me I feel like I can stop just about anywhere for that purpose provided I pull over as far as I can and avoid stopping near any blind curves. There is this nice, relaxed feeling about this. Another nice feature is that the seven or so low points [washes] in the road that could be mudholes after a thunderstorm are paved. These are seen at 2:58, 4:18, 4:41, 8:00, 9:05, 12:28 and 13:48 in the video. Overall this road is a real gem.
looks like its about to pour there!!!
This is the best Buckhorn Draw video I've seen to date.
Thanks! I try to show what I see, sometimes the camera let's me down!
Nice photos, what is this music?
Free music from UA-cam
@@dale3x8 Is there a title?
@@bobnisbet the title is "Desert Moon Above"
I was there this weekend. Thought about driving to the top. You saved me a lot of time !
😁 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕞𝕠𝕤𝕞
Sick footage. Going there 5-23-22.
Thank you! Subscribe to the channel. I have plenty of videos in this area. The San Rafael Swell is an awesome area as well.
That whole area is a mostly hidden gem
I agree! So much to see.
I drove that route two days ago. It was night time, with a shiny moon. I was able to see the shape of the terrains because of the moon light, but not how they look like, I was really curious. Thank you for the video!
Beautiful. I want to go at the end of the summer. How do I get there? Is it small car accessible? Do I need a permit?
It is on dirt but any car can drive the road. I drove a Chevy Equinox. No permit needed. From Tuba City, drive southeast for 16 miles until you reach a fork on the left after mile marker 337 on SR-264. The road is unpaved and leads to a windmill, which you must use as a point of reference, since there are no other signs. Pass in front of the windmill or - if you find cattle standing in the road like we did - go around the windmill on the road immediately on the right. A few yards later you will find a clearing with a picnic table. Park there and reach the observation points on foot.
Could a sedan make it down this road?
Very easily. The first mile or so from the interstate is very "wash boarded" but after that the roads are excellent!
@@dale3x8 thanks I’ll check it out soon!
Excellent photography accompanied with beautiful music made for an easy and enjoyable video. I became a subscriber and hope to see more of your work.
Thank you Bob!
You did not need to take any dirt road? The other video I watch, they took very rough dirty road, they must took a different route.
At 7:29 in the video you can see the dirt round. Turn at the windmill from the main road, road was not that rough at 10-15 mph.
Wow
Wow - so glad to see this video! I enjoyed meeting you & your wife at Hidden Splendor. You two are making great videos & photos & having a wonderful time exploring. Keep travelling & sharing your pictures. Our flying adventures continued, with some weather-caused changes of plans, & we made a safe return to Oregon.
Thank You for the kind comments! Glad to see you and Bill made it home safely. Has he seen the video?
@@dale3x8 not yet - I have sent it to him today.
Haven't watched it yet but in 2 weeks I will be doing this same trip
Awesome area!!!
Thanks for sharing as we will taking the trip this year. Your drone footage helped to give an idea of what we’ll see! You did a great job of capturing your adventure. We hope to do the same with my new Air 2 S plus all our other camera gear. Thanks again!😀👍
Was that a coyote or a wolf in the 1st minute or so of the video?
Coyote.
Harley is a hoot, We meet him in 2018 also
