Awesome sound guys!
Marvelous! ☺️. I prefer the timbre of the guitar to shrill whistles, banjos, fiddles...
What a lovely tune - enjoying your new album
I screamed out a laugh at the 2:50 mark. Well done, sir.
Worlds are colliding….never expected the stuntology guy to also be the red prairie dawn guitar guy
I didn’t either!
the goat
Really beautiful loaves!! It seems so simple! Question: why did you throw away the starter, and why twice?
It gets depleted by the yeast. When you get rid of it and add new flour the yeast gets more active. You can save the old starter and make pancakes/crackers and various other things.
Yum! Well done and thanks for this helpful video - I've been wanting to get into bread-making!😊
Oh sweet! let me know how it comes out!!
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
cheers heaps from one sam to another
What the fuck?
This is wonderful!!!
much love, Sam!
Great version. Absolutely ripping!! 🔥
I feel like 💃 dancin'. At least tappin' my feet. :)
seems like there should be a D (E) after the Em (F#m) at the end of 2nd line part A
there are a lot of possibilities. I just wanted to let folks know how Garry Harrison and his guitar player (me) played it on the original recording.
Thanks, Sam!
just began learning banjo. This way is feeling most natural so far. The you for your teaching videos. Appreciate it.😊
i know im a few years late but...."Play that one million times,Two million times... Read Mobey Dick (while practicing) " ... love that part. as you say it with a straight almost bored face as if to say you will be bored too after your one million times...😁 Thank you for teaching us
Haha! Why Moby Dick? Length or content? But I do like the idea of judging or illustrating the difficulty of a bit of music by a particular book. It’s more satisfactory, meaningful and artistic than ‘six months’ or ‘10,000 times’ or perhaps judging area by football pitches, or water volume by olympic swimming pools. I’m trying to learn clawhammer banjo and so far it’s proving to be ‘War and Peace’ even tho intellectually I think it’s more ‘Red Badge of Courage’. Thank you.
If you’re interested I could teach you very efficiently over zoom. You’d get it in a few lessons and save yourself a lot time.
Sam do you have a 2 F tab for this simple tune?
"Do that a million times. Get back to me." That's the very essence of practice, right there.
Thanks for the lesson sir
Dang, that's nice!
Love it!
this is the best thing on the internet
Hello, I'm from Indonesian.
What does it mean to bounce?
Good work, gals!
thanks sam!
Kicked out well I was banned playing fiddle. So now its banjo. Not kicked out yet.
Hey Sam had to get the banjo out again thanks
An-dheas! Got more ríleanna or póirt on flatpicking guitar videos?
I’ll put some up ! Thanks for the kind words.
@@mystuntology Most welcome! 😺 Shall be happy to be amongst the firsts to watch. Nollaig Shona dhuit
Hey sam are you a new teacher at muddy creek charter school?
No! I did an artist in residency there last January.
A pleasure to listen to =)
Clog de Pariseau vs. Sewage Reel. Could the title be referring to a clog in the sewer line courtesy of Monsieur Pariseau? Maybe both names are referring to the same event?
Haha- I like that. I do know that my friend Sue Sternberg named it Sewage Reel when she didn’t know the actual name.
Does the 5th string need to be capo'd at the 7th fret?
Just tune it up to A
I wish you would show the Chord and finger progression I loved the way you played and the the tune to A on the 5th string but I just can’t seem to figure it out based on the video alone would be killer if you could remake this video showing additional steps
Embracing the dork and learning these!
-He’s so relaxed this fella--I enjoy playing along with him.
very nice. But, it would much easier to follow if you placed the camera so as to show finger placement.
I loved that!! Really well done, you are all very talented. Robin Hood is one of my fav. legends, Thank You.
Is Fair Haired Mary known by any other names? It sounds very familiar.
Got it. Molly Bán! "Bán" means "white" or "fair-haired."
Yes indeed. The more common names of the tune are Molly Ban and also Fair Haired Mary. I used the name that Mickey, John's brother, called the tune. Thanks for asking
Sounds great!
Great tune, Grant Gordy throws a bm in there after the C on the B part which sounds kinda cool. This song sounds way better when played slowly or mid tempo.
It sounds amazing on the original recording. It is the sound of a prairie farm waking up and the roosters and hens announcing the start of a new day. Listen to the original that Sam Bartlett here played on with that in mind. ua-cam.com/video/xF90s_DehPQ/v-deo.html
idk sam take care good book

Can I just say how much I love this band?
I love this band!
Such a great tune and lovely performance!
