Wakhi Book 2- Khonjon
This enchanting children's storybook is designed for young readers aged 3-6 and is written in the Wakhi language by Safida Begum. It has been thoughtfully translated by Aman Ullah Amon Maad and meticulously edited by Fazal Amin Beg.
Set against the vibrant cultural and environmental backdrop of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, the story offers a delightful, context-based narrative aimed at simplifying comprehension for readers across neighboring regions, including China, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
The book encourages children to connect with their surroundings, foster a sense of understanding, and find joy in storytelling. Beyond its engaging tale, this initiative holds a deeper purpose: preserving the rich vocabulary of Wakhi, an endangered language, and nurturing its legacy for future generations.
