I'm a pain management doc. This is the the very, very best explanation of ACT I have ever encountered!! I intend to share this with my chronic pain patients. Thanks, Dr. Pincus, for your brilliant video!! 😊👍
This made me cry.
ONE OF THE GREATS. And a sweetheart human, too.
Oh my...this made me cry, because it is so true.
So generous to share this.
What rubbish, I've tried for years to distract myself from the pain, but guess what...the pain is still there..
It’s about not making pain the only thing in your life and to take the focus away from the pain so that you can still have a good life
I love this Judi. Thnk you for sharing - - -ps Im reading your book, the man who pays the rent and am loving it. XXxx
Such a Queen 😊
I don’t know if the app that I have is the same as what Dame Julie Dench is talking about, but I suffer with dyslexia and I sometimes have trouble trying to understand letters, especially because I have a lot of health condition all the app helping me with other tasks. the one I have a set up for People who are blind or going blind have some visual impairment problems understanding things and with my app. Can’t remember the name without looking on my phone but you just have to click on your app and then if it’s a medical document just hold your phone above it and it will read that document for you. I can’t remember what else it does as of not long headed and it didn’t cost me anything and my mum recommended it to me so I’m not sure if it’s the same as what Judy is telling us.
Thank you for creating this. I have watched it several times and find it helpful in communicating when working with individuals struggling with persistent pain.
First, let me say, I absolutely love you Judy!!! This past week I just wanted to watch a good movie and was searching my mind for what to watch then I remembered you! So you had already been on my mind when I happily came across this reading app video you posted! 😊 Thank you for sharing this because I have trouble reading also. I will always be a big fan of yours Dame Judi…👑❤❤❤️👏👏👏 PS I nearly wore out my VHS tape of “Ladies in Lavender” 😂
Spend more many for health technology The technology is very higher than we use stop spending for idiots ideas get more happy for people Big is big problems small is smaller ⚘️
❤ love you beautiful lady 💞
❤❤❤❤❤
very emotional video thank you miss pincus
My mum had macular degeneration she would have loved this. Love you, Dame Judi.
Life-changing video!
You must have a strong mind. Your Shakespeare last week gave so much pleasure. Your eyes may be bad, but your brain is still superb
It's just the fact that she's still grateful for the help she's getting despite her condition is such a lesson for me.
Dame Judi is a true national treasure.
Thankyou Judi. Maybe I can read again.
This is me thank you I'm not alone 😔
So true
jutaim
Brilliant! This succint representation not only explains the struggles with initially trying to eliminate pain, but also provides hope, and a road map for a more comfortable life journey. Thank you
I just saw this; thankyou, as I am 66 and have that diagnoses. God bless you, Dame Judi.
❤ amazing
Well done that is an amazing analogy. I love this video even though I’m not someone in extreme pain but I suppose it applies to any difficulties that are fairly steadfast.
Do you know what is causing the pain ?
Every person is different and our diagnosis can be different as well. In my case I have cerebral palsy(CP)which affects mobility coordination and balance,we can also have muscle tightness/spasms. I also have arthritis and for me my chronic pain really hit when I was 14(25 now)luckily I have a good pain management plan with a pain clinic and I’m also very grateful to be ambulatory.
Thank you....
Truly wonderful visual representation of how to dilute the pain and make it less of you overall . Thank you.
Superb video - beautiful, concise and says so much in just a few minutes - bravo! Will definitely use this with my patients - thank you
❤❤❤❤❤😘😘
Will definitely use this one!
I came here as a healthcare professional working with patients in pain. I left as a patient with tears in my eyes thinking about my own pain, adding to my life and making myself "bigger." Thank you so much for this, I'll definitely be sharing it with my fellow persistent pain warriors.
I’m working on it! It’s not easy!
Why does this have me crying.
Perhpas because when we lose our selves or what/how we see ourselves change because of pain and how it affects us on all facets of our lives. I suppose we remember and grieve for the past us and how we have changed. Certainly I am still stuck on the grieving stage but one day I will accept and I k ow that is when I will be me, bigger better me.
Thank you for sharing. We love you Judi
What marvelous information, thank you for sharing. And I am so thrilled to see more videos from you on UA-cam I can't Tell you how I have enjoyed your passion for trees. Ever since I was a child, now in my 60s I have felt this deep passion as well, and simply could not live anywhere without. I apologize for going off topic. Best wishes
