Thank you for your comment on our installation video. Like you, I am puzzled by the design choices INEOS made for the Grenadier, particularly the disproportionate design of the rear window and the way the interior lining extends over the side window.

@@overland_adventure_nz The utility version, with blank panels, has the same finish (interior lining) on the inside. With a utility model, the recess on the inside is the same as with a model with side windows, but the outside forms a single entity. To install a gullwing or a sliding window, the interior lining must be temporarily removed. This lining is the same in both versions. Please note: if you cut out the blank panel, you must treat the opening properly to prevent rust. So, you need to weigh whether you prefer to cut out a panel or whether you would rather remove the glass window.

@@ExploreGlazing thank you for your reply, ok then I’ll go with the rear window option as it will be much more easy than removing the panel. I presume the fitting is very similar to a Suzuki Jimny Gen4 . I don’t mind having to leave the inside panels off myself personally I’d rather a bigger window opening if if it’s possible. Keep up your great work and hope you keep warm for the winter and Netherlands this year

@@overland_adventure_nz Indeed, it is feasible that the window could have been designed larger if the interior paneling did not extend so much over the original glass. However, we understand that not everyone is willing to remove their interior paneling, and modifying the paneling is not an option either. Our design principle is to enable the vehicle to always be reversible to its original state, and this is the compromise we have had to make. Yes, the installation is indeed akin to that of a Suzuki Jimny Gen4, or a Jeep Wrangler. A manual and instruction video will be provided to assist with the installation. De utility-versie, met blinde panelen, heeft aan de binnenzijde dezelfde afwerking (binnenbekleding). Bij een utility-model is de uitsparing aan de binnenkant hetzelfde als bij een model met zijruiten, maar de buitenzijde vormt één geheel. Om een gullwing of een schuifraam te installeren, moet de binnenbekleding tijdelijk worden verwijderd. Deze bekleding is bij beide versies hetzelfde.

Dear Jon, the sliding windows are mounted with supplied screws M4 and with a sealant to prevent leakage between the frame and the wall of the car. The window can be removed for repairs or replacement. Greetings, Anja
