Wow! Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) recreated a REAL winner that had never been done before prior to 2023! Did this just leave all first-gen stand-up coasters in the dust?
We have finally experienced Pipeline: The Surf Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando - the first of its kind in the world. Standing at a height of 110 feet (34m) tall, this new-for-2023 B&M Surf Coaster is a prototype that shifts the seats of riders up and down during the ride cycle. Reaching speeds of up to 60 mph (97 km/h) thanks to its fantastic LSM (Linear Synchronous Motor) launch, followed by a corkscrew, a horseshoe, as well as 360° and 270° helices.
Featuring extremely comfortable stand-up bike-like seats with vest restraints that move up and down during the ride cycle and CRAZY EJECTOR airtime while standing up has officially taken new generation stand-up technology to a whole new level! Take a ride with us, MCV Lead Vlogger Jay, for his first ever ride aboard this insane, unexpected, prototype ride experience. We have never seen airtime while a seat is rising up simultaneously on any roller coaster before in our lifetime until now. Our first ride reactions say it all!
