Manufacturing of Carbon fibre Layered diffuser

The S16 aerodynamic carbon fibre diffuser being manufactured and vacuumed ready to be mounted onto the chassis. The carbon was layered onto the male waxed wooden mold using epoxy resin as glue for the layers following a vacuum bag process to create a fine finish.

Keep the shorts coming... Btw another team is using the same monocoque building technique but they went for carbon sheets instead of only aluminum(they only used that for the 1st iteration) Then they do resin infusion on each cut section

Nice video but never use a scribe to mark anything but cut lines and least of all on bends. You’re asking for cracks
