Both sounded excellent, my ears preferring the REMO a bit more. The question at this point is….which is the easier head to tune. And, my recent experience is that Evans without batting an eye. Don’t know what they’re doing in the manufacturing process, but it’s crushing REMO. And, not just with ease of tuning, but the consistence in quality of head. Great video…thanks for sharing.
They are both adorable ❤
Thanks, they both have passed away. The Chihuahua in 2018 she was 13 years old, and the King Charles in 2021, he was 15.
Enlightening comparison, thank you! The sound differences are so slight that drumstick choice would provide greater variety. A couple of things are certain: 1) Both heads are of excellent quality and, 2) Humans are prone to hearing differences based on visual input, among other things.
Holy moly!
Thanks Jack!! Happy New Year!!!!
that sounds amazing!!! i really want to learn pink panther on banjo but cant find any simple tabs :((
Thank you Kwanty!!! We learned it from this video, he shows the tab about 1:30..... ua-cam.com/video/bG4ZquTOPuE/v-deo.htmlsi=xXoLq_jWjDujSle9

So smooth!
Thank you for watching The One Francis696! Happy New Year!
Thank you so much. I have an AKG and I love it, but I wanted to try the shore that there was absolutely no low end at all. I’m sending it back.
Snare drum?
Ludwig black beauty hammerred 6.5". Thanks for watching Sev!!
@@timmyg4295It looks and sounds like expensive drums. I mean, not some basic drums for teenagers at the store.
@@sevchyk Thanks, they are Ludwig classics from a few different eras pieced together. But the 16'' tom is actually a pearl forum I got bran new.
I just bought the Behringer BA19a for my home studio kit to use along with the Shure Beta 52a. For the money the Behringer wins in my book.
@LorneVignettes it does sound good, I just find it clips easier than than the 92.
Hard to recreate the tone on guitar but it’s still fun. Thanks 🤘🏽
yeah Buddy love it
Thanks Jerry!!
Congrats Tim
sounds great
Rockin guys
Awesome Tim wish i didn't get rid of mine
great cover one of my favorites to do
Thanks!!!
Good video, thank you! For me, sm 57 wins.
I agree, 57 sounds better.
Twang it up!!!!
RIP Corey. You will never be forgotten.
I hope this day was not in vain.
tuning?
Man I would kill for these
Don't do that, just go buy them, easier on the conscience. Lol
@ 😂
Most American thing I seen all day
Thanks for watching! But I'm actually Canadian just outside Windsor. Lol. I did that for some family I have in Michigan.
Is your shirt a Devil's Advocate reference? ("That's what I do! I WIN!")
No, its a quote from Game of Thrones. "That's what i do, I drink and i know things." Happy New Year!!
Can't believe I found one this week, Swiss made, almost new, $80 AUS from a guy in Ballarat! What a beauty, and sooo versatile. It will be the cornerstone of my rehearsal setup.
Glad u like it. I regret selling mine.
I prefer nylon tips. They cut through the PA more consistently and I can hear the ping on the ride while I'm drumming where wood tips sound and feel dull while hitting the ride, plus nylon tip sticks last 3 times longer because the tips last until the stick actually breaks or wears down also save money because sticks are so expensive now..Definitely not a right or wrong answer here. I enjoy playing with wood tips but definitely love nylon tipped
I tested the clear vs coated vs uv2. The clears sound huge in my recordings. Clear eq3 system on kick and a power center reverse for on my snare. My recordings have improved since I stopped using remo. I’ve had two emperors decouple for the collar twice in three months.
2:30 you can hear someone humming to the song
Got some Awesome Drum only stuff here - You have provided some much needed gaps on youtube. No Refugee I figured a drummer would smoke that intro LOL. If you get in a rut, MELLENCAMP (like everything includng stuff like PLay guitar) AND - CHEAP TRICK collection would be so appreciated if you feel like drumming out some more drum only stuff. THANKS FOR ALL THESE they sound better than others
an animal urinated on the mic!! ether way the element is fried best to just to buy another .. its cost prohibitive to fix it
Hearing that snare echo though the whole stadium must be gasmic.
Stop hitting the rim u f**ng id*ot.
Get your eyes checked, you daft twat. He's not hitting the rim.
Nylon tip is way better!!! So much more definition and ping!!! Which is what I like to hear out of my ride cymbal!!!! To each his own? Just what my preference is. There is no right or wrong here? But there is better or worse! Lol!
Emporer has a more full sound, love the darkness and warmth of Remo Emporer. Great for heavy music!
Same problem replace the cable and everything was fine
what were the bottom heads?
If those 14" hi hats are brand new, why aren't they as shiny as your 15" hats?
The 14" were the shiny ones. Just different camera angle from the first location.
I’d say use neutrik nc3fxx connectors. The beta 98’s have the issue of popping if the xlr isn’t seated correctly. The neutrik ones lock in nicely and solve the issue

Remo! 100% musical. The other is just so blah boring….
im confused here, are the cymbals on your right the 14 or the 15's
14s on my right.
I wasn't expecting this but I liked the b8 one a lot, all of them sound great tough.
I have the same issue with both Beta SM 91A’s on my church kit & my live kit. I believe it’s the XLR cable causing the issue. But for some reason it hasn’t done it on my studio kit. But my studio kit is an old 90’s Pearl BLX & I drop the cable thru one of the Tom mount holes. I’m actually thinking of contacting Shure & see what they recommend for a remedy.
This is so exciting!
Thank you for watching!
love the studio noise in the background of this, cant hear it in the final mix as its too quiet, but the guitar scratch track is cool to hear, and someone at 3:04 (maybe nick oliveri or josh homme?) singing along with the drum part getting picked up by the mics
Best comparison ever
j'ai eu le meme probème mais c'ete juste mes cables un peu trop vieux
