Happens here! I have 3 kids under 8! What helps me, is to record yourself when I have the idea - like a video diary or journal and when you actually feel like creating, run with it! Audience loves it when you’re engaging and upbeat. But, it’s hard to be like that 100% of the time.

I also have what feels like low retention on my videos (20-30%) so I'm trying to improve that and also experimenting with different video styles like vlogs, tutorials, talking head, etc. It's been a lot of fun even though it's challenging, thanks for being a voice in the newer youtube community and sharing your experience. And I would wholeheartedly second the point you made about commenting on other people's videos because I've also gained a few subscribers that way. Keep up the great work!

Your video thumbnails are weak and your video hooks are weak, if you fix these two things, your views will increase.

Hi Mairead - great to see another small channel popping up in my feed. YT are definitely giving the new creators a push so your in the right place to start your channel. Your doing great just turning out content and learning the ropes - and there are more than enough of those to get you in a knot! Ask me how I know. If I can offer some pointers that really helped me. A piece of advice you'll see repeated over and over is to get the first 100 videos done without worrying about views or subs. These will be your worse videos so just get them out of the way. Once you've done them you can really start to work on your presentation, scripts, lighting editing and all that good stuff. Its a mountain to climb but so worth it. Because if I can do it so can you ... something of a mantra for me - Paul 😃😃😎😎

Hi Mara, don't be disappointed. You do have some successes. You have gotten your first 10 subs. You are close to getting your first 100 subs. That's 10 times larger than your first 10 or a %1000 growth rate. Your lighting is good, your sound is good, and your background is good. Given your niche, your audience is concentrating strictly on you and your content. Also, you speak well and directly into the lens. You are doing well, so keep going.

You upload regular videos. But your video views are not at all.. You should SEO all videos.. Your video views will increase. Subscribers o will increase

Really Informative Video Your Content Deserve Million of Views How Can I Help You to Grow on UA-cam with Good Thumbnails?

You sound natural and great! Just be yourself like you’re talking to a friend. We are in this together ❤❤❤ I’m working on my communication on my channel and what I did is just accept I’ll have flaws with my speech and was open about me still working on bettering my speech and communication. I started setting a timer like a workout routine 2 min journaling/ideas and 2 mins talk. It’s part of my videos relating to superset my life. The idea with the timer is just do it and go through the motion like when we’re working out, putting in our reps. But since doing that, I am thinking setting it to 5 minutes and just do it don’t think. So for you maybe 5 mins prepping what to say or journaling your thoughts and 5 mins just talk about it. Also I was watching another video on CapCut where the ai can remove all your umm and ahhs to keep your video flowing better. Another thought I have is just don’t expect too much and be okay that you did it.
