False alarm 😂
@@gallowaylights Yes! Thank goodness! 😂
OMG🍯🐝
Well that works.👍
Thanks DC hope all is well!
Thank you very much for sharing with us, Blessed Days...
Thanks DC she does a great job with our soaps
Wow so many varieties. I don’t know how you keep up with them. Looks like a good year for the orchard.
Lovely orchard! Appreciate all the work you put into it!
Many thanks!
You're volume was to low to hear you.
Yeah we forgot our mic that day will try to do better going forward
That’s a sturdy nuc!
Ty! We worked yard this year to build them and were happy with how they turned out.
Great video, thanks.
TY!
Great video. Nice queen. Great laying pattern. Anyone should be happy to get a quality nuc like that.
@adventuresinbeekeeping7590 TY! Very kind of you to say!
Nice.😁Looks like you have some busy bees there, they are doing some good work for ya.👍 Blessed Days...
Yeah we're in full swing here drawing comb and filling supers! Got my fingers crossed we all have a good season!
awesome
Thank you!
great video
Thanks!
Good stuff, step by step.😁I'll bet they do great.
We are hoping so DC!
I'm looking forward to enjoying this year's supply ❤
Me too!!
Looks like they are using that blackberry flow well.👍
Yeah just need some consistent warm weather and sunshine and we should be rolling.
@@alhambraorchardapiary4882 I agree.😁
Love the way the comb is looking! 🤩
Thank you! 🤗
When do you add the second deep before adding super? Or do you start a two deep at the beginning?
I overwinter in double deeps, but pull splits in late March early April
@@alhambraorchardapiary4882 Thanks! One more question. I am about to start my first hive. Do I leave a small gap at the bottom? I was gifted a hive but it didn’t come with spacers at the bottom … it’s just a long narrow gap when the deep is placed on the bottom board.
@memdass747 Most of our bottom boards have a 3/8 gap. During the heat of summer I like to crack a lid for extra ventilation.
@@alhambraorchardapiary4882 thanks so much!
Wishing you much success on your upcoming season!!!!
You as well! So far it's shaping up to be a good one here!
Great simple split video! How woukd you place a cut out swarm cell into a split?
You will need to be sure the bees know they are queenless. Then make a thumbprint into the comb and stick your cell in the depression. Look up Gus Mitchell he has a video of using cut queen cells on youtube that does a good job of showing how this is done.
Ya it's that time of year, if anything ya can always restack. Bees are looking good, I think you are going to have a good season. Blessed Days...
Yeah, thats our plan we made all together 36 splits
❤👍🏻
They can also be trained to react to various odors
I've seen that cool stuff!
Hey Kajun hope you and your bees are doing well!
Let the beekeeping begin!!
We have been pulling splits for the past few weeks. Throwing supers on now it's gonna be a good season.
New mammas.😁
Still got 5 more to come in May I do like the Russian bees from the Coys in Mississippi.
Nice, best of luck. Thanks for sharing, Blessed Days...
Thanks DC we got them all installed hoping they work out!
Beautiful
If we keep the frost away we are gonna have a great year. Hope all is well for you and your bees Ricky!
Great video Charlle, thanks for taking the time to share.
Thanks for watching! Wanted to get a video of installing queens, but I was working well into the night as it was.
awesome video, thanks for sharing.
TY!
I put out some traps they were 3 traps all together, 2 of them were single deeps with 2 or 3 frames with either old foundation / empty foundation / partials and one was a double medium with 4~ frames with propolis I don't think there was comb in that one. I sprayed it a few times with swarm commander on the entrance and the inside. But since it was on other people's property I put them on Milk Crates to keep them a bit off the ground. Do you think they will still work or do you think they're too low and I should put them higher up next time?
I've caught swarms in hive equipment stacked on the ground so for sure possible. From what I've read higher is better but not a necessity.
She is fast!!!
Getting faster all the time keeps me on my toes!
What does the bees wax add to the bar?
It's hardens the bar and helps it last longer, and it helps add creaminess to the lather.
I love this soap! So sudsy and smells fantastic!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoy it! 🥰
❤ they turned out beautiful ❤ good job ya'll 😊
Thank you!! ❤
This was a awesome video!!! Thanks for sharing, my wife is excited to try soap making.
Awesome! Hopefully, the full video will be uploaded soon!
I used a little bit more water on paper because of evergreen scions. Set +1 celsius on my fridge, but thermometer shows approximately "0" . Sometimes temperature drops to "-1" celsius and I can feel the paper becomes slightly stiff in zipper bags. The temperature in the fridge varies between +1 and -1. Will it damage my scions?
To be honest we have never grafted evergreens. With that being said I would be concerned that temp will freeze and damage your scions. If it were me, I would bump it up to at least a little above freezing.
awesome idea
Thank you! So far it has done well for us!
Do you have Anna and Fuji scions for sale? I would love some as they are better for southern climates.
We have Anna will contact you
I spent 2 years gathering different versions of apple trees to show my daughter how to graft. It was a great experience!!!!
Anytime you need scionwood let me know have a lot. It always fun to teach the next generation!
Hard working guys!
Looks like they like it, one day closer.😁
We're getting there DC!
Never hurts to put on a little extra feed.
Nope we got highs close to 60 and worried they may burn through it. Just got to make it to March, and we are almost there.
😮I’m jealous😅😊😊
Yeah, we've been dreaming of a shop for a while excited to get it finished. Cold weather has us behind.
Great video. I love catching swarms.
Yeah, we used to run a trap line when I was younger until the market fell out. This is a way we get to run a line and keep what we catch.
Great video!!
Thank You!
That is so cool!!! It is difficult to get good video of bees in flight. Nice job!
Thank you my wife actually did this one!
Y’all score big time on the deals!!
We took advantage for sure!
It smells amazing and it smells amazing for a great long while I used the soap tonight about a half an hour ago and it still smells amazing
Glad you are enjoying it!
Shops looking great!
Thank You!
