My house when I was a kid in the 80s is now next to Patriot's Path. I would love to see a video about that. There was a trail but I certainly never went as far as you did. We hiked as Boy Scouts along he old train tracks near where the Coffee Potter is. I also did an interview with a banker at the building where the Coffee Potter now is for my Personal Finance merit badge. Thanks for the memories.

Hi there Kevin excellent informative video. My interest is moving from Hudson County to Morris County. I understand that Hanover Township and East Hanover have a low tax rate in addition to Harding township. I am just contemplating nothing concrete for now. My choice and liking is a Center Hall American colonial 5 bedrooms 3 1/2 baths, formal living room, formal dining room, nice big kitchen with food pantry, a butler's pantry as well. Definitely central air and gas heating but with iron radiators that work with steam, a fireplace that is wood burning, lots of closet space, 2 car garage, inground heated pool and a pool house/loggia. Open to suggestions and counseling.

Bloomfield zip code 07003 don't move here, it's the epidemy of a fallen city with rogue groups saturated and operating in the neighborhoods. The airplanes are abusively taken over the airways all day and night. The townships are spiraling into a multitude of kaos.

The only cons to moving to the Jersey Shore is long commute if you work up north, and dealing with Shore traffic when trying to get home or drive around town during the summer. If you lived your whole life in North Jersey, you are used to all that traffic year round anyway.

You hit the nail on the head! All the reasons why we bought a house here two years ago !!! We love it! Although the cons were hard to get used to coming from Bergen county where everything is a few min away, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Totally worth it living in this beautiful town ! A word to the wise: Bring money.

you are really selling Horse Shoe Lake short. it is easily the best park of its kind in Morris County. it has everything and can host everything. name one park in Morris that has more than it has? Not Freedom in Randolph. it usually hosts the Morris County baseball championships there. Soccer Tournaments and Lacrosse Tournaments . swimming and carnivals and everything on the Island. walking and jogging and bicycling through out the park with hiking. now has turf fields there are cross country courses Roxbury XC Invitational. Roxbury plays many baseball games there besides everyone else. Soccer fields football fields, basketball courts and vollyball. everything is there. This is a top reason to move here.

Chester is a nice area

Too expensive, high taxes. Weather sucks, the people suck. Too crowded. And crowded with the wrong type of people.

Happened upon your Pros and Cons of Mendham and found it interesting. I grew up in Brookside (from age 15) and have lived in the same house in Mendham Borough for the past 33 years (actually on West Main Street) and I found it interesting that you don't know the short cuts around the high school traffic in the morning and afternoon.

Grew up on Randolph in the 80's and 90's. We had a great school and an amazing football team. I loved growing up here, especially when my mom started letting me take the path into NYC. Walked my amazing dogs *(cody and jackson) A million times at Brundage....also caught about 4000 fish out of shongum!
