I am not muslim, but i investigated a lot about islam, so i know some things, and i know a bit about history, so 100 years ago, well, the dressing depended of how conservative was the country, for example you would not compare iran(that we know was previously known as persia), with turkey(that was the ottoman empire), for example in early 20th century, in old photos, is noticable that in the ottoman empire was not too much conservative, or somalia, that in old photos is shown that much somali people were wearing traditional somali clothes instead of more arabic clothing, another detail, in some countries during late 19th century and early 20th century, where noticable that people in some parts of middle east, or in the north part or africa, some people were starting to wear more european clothing, but depended of the country, for example, algeria, until decades ago, was a french colony, also was considered as another french province, and in that moment a few percetage of french were living in there, so i willl not say more to not write too much, ok
