About a week, it was summer too so, might've been quicker.

@@siod304 If you're sowing them directly into a pot, try to keep a plastic lid with holes on top of the pot. This will keep the moisture in and help the seed germinate quicker. But if there is too much water, the seed might not grow and the waterlogging will cause fungus to form. Paper towel method is good. Just make sure you put the damp paper towel with seeds into a Ziplock bag to keep the moisture in. Put the zip lock bag in a dark place, this should help with the germination. Fertile soil will definitely help the plant grow after germination. Once you have the seeds germinating in the pot, water it from the bottom, the roots will grow longer and stronger because they will search for water. Hope this helps. Do let me know how it goes. That is true, it is a skill they probably never had to develop and evolutionarily, the crows probably never figured it out. I always wonder how far back we actually have to go to see this behaviour first occur in the Koels, if it was mentioned in the Vedas that is at least 5000 years ago. If I ever find out I'll update it in in this comments thread. Appreciate the comment 😊
