It’s hilarious how strong Cats are.
@RobertWWD Yes Sir ! 🤠👍🏻 It is and I think that entire species also have an extremely high pain tolerance too!? It’s wild . I loves cats Lol Do you have any cats?
@@EvonFarmFlowers I have three cats not counting my Sister’s Cat she couldn’t take to Japan when she was transferred there. My Sister is Air Force.
@robertwwd cat’s are a lot like potato chips LOL you can’t just have one !
Your videos are amazing! If you like farming or harvesting videos, I look forward to having you visit my channel to have relaxing moments together!
Can you open the side door when it’s cooking like that? What about smoke spillage? I had an old cast iron stove with a side door and I miss it, my new stove I can’t open the front unless it’s ember or I get smells or smoke n the house.
@forrestford46 you can open the side door slowly every time with no spillage or smoke . Front door you’ll always get spillage but no smoke . I never open the front door ever! The only time I use the front door is to clean my glass and that’s it.
The fan on top? Need this. Can you give me info on it? Thanks!!
@paulknoblock8797 fan is Terrible it’s just a good conversation piece . Lol I wouldn’t recommend it. Barley moves the air around and is pretty worthless for the money .
Dry wood is key for a good burn too
@andreweast2121 YES SIR! 😎 I’ve burned semi green wood and it’s terrible . Always burn dry wood , I learned my lesson a few years back .
Hell yeah
Have you had any issues not producing the same heat later. My internal thermometer reads 900, but the top of the stove seams much lower I need a top on like you.
SHES SO CALM!!
what a sweet little cat!
Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In My Lane. Focused. Flourishing.
She is such sweetheart 😘
That's precious🥰
I can't believe that cat is so calm
No hearth?
@biggeordie245 behind the stove there’s one. I wanted the stove on the ground . I love this thing .
How are you liking your V3 is it still working well for you have you had any problems
Hey , I love this wood stove . 1800 SF HOME. Does well , have to cut my pieces of wood 18-20” long and smaller chunks than usual but does very well for us. We burnt out our Catilyst the first year and they replaced it for free. But I think I burnt it out from opening the bottom clean out door to get a draft going . It got to hot maybe . Haven’t had a problem since .
Great looking stove! Needs some floor protection underneath.
@wobdeehomestead1464 thank you! My entire house is porcelain tile “wood look” . Non combustible tile .
What type of fan? I need this
@@paulknoblock8797 Stove fan
Are you still happy with it now?
@Tughillguy Very happy with it . The Catalyst burnt up quick but they sent me a new one for free.
why not put inside or closer to the fireplace? what's the required clearance of this stove to wall?
@nard0q695 My wife and I like the wood stove sitting outside the hearth . It’s a beautiful stove and easier to service it if need be . Each stove has its own specific clearances . I believe this stove calls for 18” from combustible material ? You can find out , just google it or call Jotul .
He knows that stove. Footnote, tho: fresh wood is loaded with volatiles that outgas when heated. If you don't do everything he said (and thought) PERFECTLY, it will fill stove pipe with 1,000 deg flames ...to the top. This is a double black diamond technique.
@jeffwhite9028 I’m very confused. Who knows? If I don’t do everything he says ? What’s everything he said? Thanks, Russ
Duh,its setting on a combustible wood floor. You just broke the first rule of stupid
I'm sure that you have a few carbon monoxide detectors in place throughout the house.😉
Hey @dipstick5869 I only have two installed that are hard wired. Thanks for looking out !
Cat: Die! Die Die...now suffocate..
Do you have to run the stove wide open for a while before damping it down? Is that the way you load and set the stove for an overnight burn or were you just showing where to set the air controls at?
Hey CTSCAPER, you can set your air controls to what ever you’d like , that would depend on how cold it is outside and how well your wood is seasoned . I’n the video I have the air controls set to positive because no smoke comes out when you open the door to load . I am loading it to go to bed for the night . 10 + hour burn time every time with no complaints . I’ve used a few wood stoves in my time and this wood stove is pretty good . My only CON would be if you leave the bottom door open to get air flow going to get it ripping hot , the catalyst will burn out and warp within one years time . I was lucky enough to get a new catalyst because it was under warranty still .
I would run the stove wide open for a couple hours ONLY when you’re first starting it up if the stove was sitting cold and or if it’s really cold outside . Hope this helps .
@@EvonFarmFlowers With my older stove you have to run it wide open for 10-15 minutes before damping it down, in stages, for the long burn.
Assuming you are using dry wood go wide open air for 15 to 20 minutes then damp it down or you will overfire.
Hey I’m looking to do the same exact thing actually sending the liner up my chimney with that model Jotul. I was curious how much did it cost you just for the stove? Excluding the liner and installation
Hey MannoOutside, I love this stove for $3,799.
What prices are you seeing ?
Nice stove man!
Thank you! Wife and I love this Jotul . Heats the entire single level 2000 SF home.
Ciao quanta autonomia tiene con una carica che si fatto?

I wouldn't recommend sitting the stove directly on a wood floor like you have it. In a lot of states that violates code and you might not get homeowner's insurance coverage if you accidentally burn down your house. There are 2 basic problems with this setup: 1) even with the ash pan underneath the floor gets pretty hot from the stove; and 2) when you open one of the stove doors you can have hot coals fall out onto the floor causing ignition.
It’s not wood. It’s ceramic tile. Look at the mortar between tiles. 😊
@@andrewk1191 I don't think so. I think the ash residue has colored the gaps between boards so that it looks like grout or mortar.
I’m pretty sure it’s tile man.
@@james55982 I've never seen ceramic tile with a woodgrain pattern. There may be synthetic tile that looks like wood but that would not be sufficiently fireproof.
Hey thanks for the comments and concerns. I tiled my entire house with wood look porcelain tile . I installed this wood stove and had everything inspected by the town and it passed because nothing is combustible around the wood stove .
Maximum time burning?
Depends on type of wood I guess and how well the wood is seasoned . I burn red and white oak seasoned over a year . I get 10 hour burn time on the “negative “ setting .
This is cool man
Thanks Tyler ! Appreciate it ! Brother man.
