Why I don't think Christmas decorations are out too early
Like the colors
What are u making
A knitted Cowl with cables. I'm hoping it turns out as beautiful as it is in my mind's eye
Cross stitching people are incredible..and scaryyyyy
With a few baby scares finding time to work on hobbies is becoming more and more difficult. Little one can arrive at any moment now. Once I recover and make it through the hard part my videos will become not only better but more frequent 😅
What is it? I love the pattern and colours, I just can't figure out what it's supposed to be, is it a beanie hat?
It is a small Christmas stocking 💕
@@beautiful_handmade_life ahhh! That's really cute 😊
Oh that is so adorable! Great job!
ALWXANDER HAMILTONSBSJS
Это ж на какую ногу?!!!
It's a Christmas stocking for my son.
@@beautiful_handmade_life ну это совсем другое дело, а то я уже подумала, что великан вернулись!
Looks so beautiful
Thank you 😊
You knit very neatly, it looks really, really good ❤
Looks cool!
Beautiful pink. Love the pattern.
I’m just joyous for your condition, and doing productive things in this time period. Back in the 60’s it was a wasteland.
Might not make the tut im getting busy this summer
Thats adorable! Im so happy for you!❤❤
Aww, you did a great job. It's so pretty. Can't wait to see the next one. Congrats.
My favorite Disney movie of all time. You did a great job. 😊
My sister also loves lady and the tramp
Can i please suggest that you complete just half of the stitch (1 diagonal line) while watching your pattern, and once you've completed a larger area, go back and finish your stitches... you will keep your work neater, but more than that, you will save hours of time as you no longer need to double, triple check where to sew next! Just do 1 colour at a time, enjoy 💐
I will definitely give this a try. Thank you 🥰
In the 70's, I was introduced to counted cross-sritch by a young woman who said your back side should be every bit as pretty as the front and she showed me how to never used knots. This is really pretty and colorful. Keep it up.
Being it's my first the back of it isn't very neat. I'm hoping my skill increases over time. The goal is to refine my skill and add other forms of crafting and crafting skills on top of it.
@@beautiful_handmade_life You're doing great. My first attempts were just plain cross stitching and embroidery on pre-printed pillowcases, which are still sold on Amazon. I keep thinking I'm going to order one when I get around to it. I just retired, so now may be my opportunity. BTW, when I first started, I struggled with my neatness. Like you said, it comes with experience. Good luck. I'll be looking out for your posts.
Beautiful 😍
For the first time, that looks really good! The small "messy" stitches are what make something like this personal.
Thank you! That's what I was hoping for. Embroidery is something I want to get more familiar with. Eventually I will have a variety of crafting knowledge under my belt.
@@beautiful_handmade_life so far, I can cross stitch, crochet, and draw sometimes. Diamond painting for the heck of it, lol. The one thing I can not master is knitting!
@@laurabellemore8933 @laurabellemore8933 I just picked up cross stitch so I am learning, I want to learn crochet or at least more crochet than the little I have known, I love paint by numbers and increasing my skill level at coloring and shading. One day I will make my own yarn, and hopefully 🤞🏼make my own clothes. Where I will find the time I have no idea 😂
@beautiful_handmade_life my dream is to someday have a whole room just for my crafts, yarn and all my sewing stuff. I quilt as well and make other things with my sewing machine.
Beautiful!!
Beautiful!
Oh i love it you did such a good job ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
you did good!
Thank you 😊
You got this!!
Ngl, it’s pretty dope. Don’t give up, u got it.
This looks amazing!! Whats the stitch called?
It's called rhombus delight. It is one of my favorites 😍 I'm actually thinking I want to attempt also making a pet sweater using this stitch.
What will it be?
A Christmas stocking for my soon to be niece. 😊
That’s exactly how my brain is working these days but with crochet. I fell in love with knitting but a year later decided to try crochet again after setting it down when I was 8ish. Now all I do is think about crocheting bc it is my stress relief!
You can do it!!!
You're doing great. I love crossstitch.
LSD version is sick 🤘
It's sad that the color underneath is so bright that you can see it behind the stitching
Supposedly it is going to wash off in warm water? 🤷🏼♀️ once this is finished it will give me an idea as to how these things are supposed to work 😅
I love this so much. Looks great keep going
I like the style! It's nothing like how I see everyone else doing; it looks especially soft and fills out the box really well! I can never do nice full squares when I cross-stitch, no matter what I try. I think you're doing great 😎
Well it's nice to know something I'm doing wrong looks cool 😎 lol I will have to find videos of others doing it. One day I'll do it correctly and determine which style I like more 😅
It absolutely looks wonderful, but it's "cross stich" which you're supposed to have the gaps. That being said, if you like doing this method enjoy, nust know the internet is going to have a pitch fork party because it's not cross stich, it's more embroidered. The earlier comment had beautiful instructions for "cross stich". In any case, rock on, and wave your flag.
A few tips from a long time stitcher: Alway cross the top stitch of the cross in the same direction. Stitches go corner to corner, like an x, in the "block" not like a plus sign. Also, use only 2 strands of floss. You will need to strip them out from the 6 stands. Do this by pulling 2 apart toward the end of the length and hold the rest lightly between 2 fingers of the other hand. Then just tug the 2 strands up. The remaining may bunch under your fingers, but will not tangle, so you can smooth the remaining strands back out for the next time you need to separate 2 strands out. Do not knot on the back of the work. Hold about an inch to the back and make your first few stitches so they go around them on the back and when you're done using a color, slip your needle under stitches on the back for about a 1/2" or so then clip. This tacks the ends without lumpy knots.
So this one actually reccomend 3 strands. I have been attempting an x, but I think what confuses me is that it says there are different kinds of stitches. I figure winging this one, and I'm sure it won't turn out great, but afterwards, I can determine all my mistakes. 😅 My goal is to learn all the various crafts, I've gotten fairly good at knitting, so now I want to add a few more skills.
@@beautiful_handmade_lifeduckbunny already gave you some good tips. But I gotta say your unique stitch is pretty cool, creates a neat effect. Looks more time consuming though
I pretty much exclusively use cotton. Im a weaver, knitter and crocheter. Peaches n cream washes up so nicely for blanets. I have a few kids throw blankets inmade 3 years ago and they are still in famtastic shape. I would not use it as a garment though. I would suggest more of a fingering weight cotton or cotton blend for clothing. It makes the most fantastically breathable blouses for summer
Yesseima❤👍👏👏👍👏
Nice haul! For anyone looking them up they’re called ‘Lucky Bags” 😊
Oh, did I not say lucky bags? 🙈 I meant to lol 😅
Are you going to add any pom poms or frills to it? Is this going to be a male or female gift?
No pom poms or frills. I believe it looks very gender neutral however I do imagine some of my female relatives may enjoy it more. Especially with the pops of gold and glitter. ✨️
I do diamond painting, also
I have been wanting to try those! They look to be so much fun 🥰
Girl math at its finest love to see it
I think it's VERY cute 😍 ☺️!!!
Thank you 😊
All❤
The music is so different 💀
Sweater?
No, but it would look cool as a sweater, too
It's DEFINTELY OK to make mistakes. Everybody does! It does still look cute though! 😍🥰
lol I’m using peaches and cream right now I swear I’m working with jute 🤦🏻♀️
😆 I just tried to make a handtowel, and I used peaches and cream as the main color to do some colorwork, let's just say that will never happen again 🫠
Definitely dont even think about crocheting with faux fur yarn until you've mastered blanket yarn. Youll drive yourself mad.
