On D5 engines, when serpentine belt snaps, there is a high risk for it to tangle in a timing belt, resulting in a snapped timing belt, which can cause alot of problems. To prevent costly repairs, you should always listen for bad noises such as humming or whining, coming from pulley bearings on which serpentine belt runs. Can this be done on a 2015 V60 D6? I have fully straight piped it but I can’t find anyone who could do a custom map or hard cut limitet on a hybrid.

Great video! Simple directions. No extra BS. Just what you need to know. I was given a Volvo with the engine broken down and a box of bolts. This helped me locate many of the bolts I had. That further reduced the ones I had to guess by trial and error. Many thanks.
Thanks for the vid! Really helped! I also removed the manifold (and EGR for cleaning), which made some things easier. I was working on an AWD, so reaching those two T30 bolts was a real PITA!
Did you removed them from bottom? I recently changed turbo on xc90 awd. Didn't even bothered going under the car due to transfer case, so I removed turbo from above
Yes, from bottom. No chance from top. And even then there was hardly a line of sight. Was working on a LHD XC90 car.

What is this effect gives a big wear? How does the timing belt likes this ? Anyway 163 or 185 hp ?

@@druszan17 yes, but never measured on dyno. I increased power in such manner that it would smoke as minimal as possible, so it's not much. Planning to upgrade injectors to euro 4. Injection duration will be shorter so I can increase power even more while maintaining same smoke level

@@nigaballs123 it's holding up pretty good, but I also change oil at 10k interval to prevent damage
how did you get it to not go in the redline
It can be made at any rpm, I personally think that higher rpm is more dangerous for the engine, so I did bangs on a bit lower rpm than redline

Full straight pipe. Not recommended doing bangs with non straight pipe exhaust 😄

Do you have to drain the oil before hand
Not necessary, but it won't hurt to replace oil for new turbo. Also make sure you don't drop anything into the oil drain hole in engine block, otherwise you'll need to drain for obvious reasons

What causes exhaust sound like an owl? I mean that sound like a wind in exhaust
Straight pipe exhaust and type of turbocharger. 1.9 tdi can make that sound even louder. I had straight pipe after cat and I didn't have that sound, but after deleting cat it became audible, so I guess that catless exhaust makes that sound, but besides that, type of turbocharger makes it more or less hearable ✌️
i believe it is the exhaust turbine side of the turbo losing speed and sort of braking before the compressor side does, due to sudden loss of exhaust pressure. commonly known as turbo dose or dosing vs your gasoline turbo stutter or su tu tu. can be heard typically on variable geometry turbines and big trucks turbos, but also on normal turbos under certain conditions..cheers

Just a bit more than stock, never measured on a dyno. It's all stock under the hood, except for exhaust and deleted egr.
Has anyone done this on an Auto D5 Euro 3 XC90? I'm just looking at mine and it appears that the transmission is blocking access to the lower oil fitting @SiRobb shows a video for testing the actuator that also has much better access than mine has - very weird, I must be being stupid! lol
