I go places, do things, take photos and share them. If you just want to just look at photos without someone trying to teach you something, then this is the place. My goal in photography is capture images that others can feel, as if they were there themselves. Capturing the mood is more important to me than sharp focus or textbook composition.

Miscellaneous Images

These truly are miscellaneous photos, taken on different days, at different places with different cameras. Some images were made with film cameras, others are digital, some in Korea, some in the USA. I mostly used Nikons, Nikon D700, D810, D90, D7000 etc. The film shots were made with my old Nikon F4. Film used was Fujicolor 200.

Nikon D40 Street Photography
Переглядів 85День тому
These are just a few of the photos I shot with my old Nikon D40. I think the D40 was (is) a great street photography camera. I think it is the smallest APSC size DSLR that Nikon has ever made, plus it has a CCD sensor that renders almost film like colors.

Here are some photos I shot while walking around in the cities we visited while touring Turkey. I bought my Nikon D7000 just before we went to Turkey, so I was still learing how to use the camera during the trip. I added music "My Trains' A Comin" by: Unicorn Heads.

hello just came here from your comment in Daejeon video. Subscribed. Love your photos Andrew
Thank you very much!!
Great photos sir. God bless.
Shot a video there a few months ago for my channel but sadly the light was terrible. Nice work.
Thanks, I used to do morning walks in the City when I lived there, I think it would be dangerous to do early mornig walks there now. My sons live in Berkeley and in San Francisco, so I still visit often. Check duttonfilms.com (my son David) and duttonart.net (my son Mike)
Great photos!
Very cool! Love the composition and the vibrant colors! I’m going on a holiday in two months to Australia and just bought a Tamron 24-75mm lens for my 6D. I think that lens will serve me well. Cheers!
Very Nice ! I just came back from China where the market theme also created the opportunity for great shots. Nice editing also, as the bold colors and contrasts help tell the story! I am guessing, wide angle lens for most of the shots?
Thank you for the very nice comments. Right about the lens, most were shot using the Tamron 18-270mm at 18mm (35mm equivalent 28mm ) on a Nikon D90

What lens did you use here?
Me gustó mucho :) es bueno conocer la vida cotidiana de otros paises de esta forma. Gracias por compartir.
D90 looks capable, I find if you put decent glass on these earlier DSLRS they go alright. Of course many dismiss them as dinosaurs.
An interesting array of DSLRS. Botanical subjects interest me. Wildflowers emerging early spring.
Nikon D300 no video just stills. Enjoyed the everyday scenes. Thanks for sharing.
🔥

안녕하세요,,^^ 와우,, 사진이 생동감이 있습니다.. 정말 잘 감상하고가요,,^^
What lens use in this trip my friend?
Nikkor 24-85mm
Wonderful photos. Love the color palette. Are you shooting Raw or JPEG?
Just some good photos.
You may want to consider changing your name. There are a lot of good photos here.
Klasse Fotos, tolle Farben! Ich werde meine D200 reaktivieren.
nice pictures
안녕하세요,,^^ 정말 사진이 멋있습니다. 하나하나가 작품입니다. 와우,,~!
Very nice. Cheers!
You cannot compare the Nikon d700 with any device, the colors are clearly superior, the d700 is a masterpiece of photography, there is no such device ever made. The colors are absolutely fantastic on the Nikon d700, there is no comparison with other cameras, I've tried them all, sony, panasonic, canon, Nikon d750, d810, d 850, z 6, absolutely all, the Nikon d700 has direct and real colors , there is no longer such a camera, I'm only talking about JpGs. They are all toys compared to the Nikon D700, the difference is huge!
2:25 Thanks for sharing. Love the Castrol Celica. 😊 Just picked up a used GF3 with the 14mm f2.5 lens, and while I've only had it for a couple of days, I love it!
What lens?🤔
Normally I would be disappointed if I showed up to take pictures and it was raining but the colorful umbrellas and reflective streets/sidewalks turned out lovely.
👍👍👍🤝
I’m glad I found your site. Big fan of Korea and Nikon. Would be nice to know the year these photos are from. Thanks.
Nice 🎹
Hello, I was wondering if you could share your in-camera settings, such as saturation or Color Mode
lower detail accuracy but beautiful colors and vibrance.
Hi, between d610 and d810 which one produce better photos straight out of camera without doing editing and color rendition and skin tone color are same in both camera
Hi, are those straight out of camera?
I shot in RAW (NEF) and uploaded them through Nikon Transfer then exported them as Jpegs. Some brightness and contrast adjustments were made, that is all I did to them. Colors are just what the camera gave me.
안녕하세요,,^^ 와,, 정말 아름다운 사진입니다.. 하나하나가 다 작품 같아요,,^^
lovely
Hello Some nice images in there. Have a Nikon D50 :-). Greetings from lower Bavaria
Wonderful camera and photos.
💯🇹🇷⭐️👍 I have 1 of this F3 device, it is very clean, it is for sale, if anyone is interested, there is a video on my UA-cam channel.
Enjoyed your images here - they look great. Coincidentally I just ordered a used D610 this morning (so I was looking for D610 videos.) I have a few Nikon cameras D3S, D3X, D200, D810, D700, but I've never owned or shot with a D600/610 before so I'm looking forward to it. I like to try different cameras - as every digital camera gives a different look from it's sensor and the way it processes images.
I sold my D610 and D810 and bought some new gear, I did just by a D600 and a 28-70mm f2.8 Nikkor. I'm going on a road trip next week so I'll be trying them out. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated!
No plastic surgeon clinics lol!
Love the D700, I’m getting mine out again today. I’ve been running around with the D3 and Pentax k3 lately. Excellent photographs. I like the style showing how life is in this place with little signs of hope, or making the best of where they are. Can’t beat those D700 colors. I’m assuming this is China??
This was in Korea, lived there for many years, I love old Nikon DSLRs, especially the D700.
@@herbertandrewdutton My bad, and sorry about that. So many Americans ignorant of Asian countries.
Esta cámara fantástica saca colores de diapositivas! Es una joya de culto!
I agree, I'm not a good photographer but I enjoy the beautiful colors I get from my old cameras.
@@herbertandrewdutton High contrast, yes, as with Velvia rolls 50 & 100 (Fuji).
안녕하세요,,^^ 사람들의 삶.... 삶의 모습을 잘 보고가요,,^^
Great collection of pictures. Good work
Thanks!
Nice work! In fact, I just bought a D700 from Japan with only 1600 SC. I’m more thrilled about using it now that I’ve seen your work.
Thanks, hope you enjoy the D700!
Great photos! If not secret, what is your setting for Picture Control and WB? This is the least nasty green and without yellow cast from D610 and much much better than i can get from it. Although your green is also vibrant...
Everything is Auto
@@herbertandrewdutton Polarising or other filter used?
I usually have a CPL filter on my lens.@@AlexJacksonSmith
The sunset at the end is particularly good. Need to adjust the horizon I think as it seems off by I may be wrong... When I started with the Nikon D5200 and the kit lens I was hating it. The images were soft and the contrast was horrid. One thing that made a difference to the kit was a good pol filter, the second was the sharp setting for jpegs. Still not good enough so I went to manual lenses of the 60-80's. On the D5200 it was all guess work as the metering does not work, but with the D610 aperture priority works great. Still jpg needs the sharp option in config. If you want sharp and cheap, check out using the old manual 50mm f 1.8 Ais or 28mm f 3.5 lenses... they are super, but you also need to change the profile. These lenses are about $99 second hand in good condition. Check out samples and my settings. My oldest video "botanical gardens" is with the D5200 but it shows in BW & colour what the lens can do. Dont forget to change the sharpness in the profile if you are using Jpeg without post production. Makes a massive difference. I now use the D610 together with the 24-70 f 2.8 lens for corporate work, along with other cameras. But the D610 setup is the mainstay. Alex.,
My horizons are almost always off, have one lazy eye, I usually try to fix them in post (the horizons, not my eyes) but sometimes just let them go as was shot😏
@@herbertandrewdutton I actually have the same problem but it appears occasionally, so I guess the objects in the scene throw me.
