I think Dany and Jon were supposed to be twins. Ned being so overprotective of Dany makes less sense with her as Jon's aunt. You could read it as projection: "if Robert wants this Targaryian dead so badly, what's going to happen if he ever finds out about Jon's heritage?" But I think the connection is tighter if Ned knows Dany is his sister's child or even Jon's half-sister, which would probably make more sense within the show.

So putting aside the story aspect if ned really did save John from Robert why not tell Cat the truth most of the issues of Ned raiseing john came from her and if she knew the truth or some of it Ned might have amhad an ally in her (i would assume he would have keep it to john was Regar bastard from his raped sister keeping johns bastard stance which in the show it isn't clear if Ned ever knew of the marriage between his sister and Regar i believe that was Bran and sams discovery that john is true born

Another hint is Gilly telling Samwell that "Rhaegar annulled his first marriage and had a secret ceremony with another woman" when they were at the Citadel. They pretty much spelled it out with that one.

As much I wish this was given more to work with in season 8, this is a powerful bit of knowledge and adds to the tragedy of Jon as a character. In a way, a Targaryen started the trouble and a Targaryen ended it. I do sort of wish Jon got a better end, but something bittersweet is better than nothing good. Yes, I didn't hate season 8, but I didn't love it either. (The first half, I'm fine with).

Another hint was that Lyanna was consistently described as beautiful, and so was Jon. He gets called 'pretty' several times if I'm not mistaken.

One small detail I always liked was how they would always mention that Robert’s rebellion started for Lyanna’s beauty, how Lyanna was to die for, etc. Throughout the series they would always drop hints about how Jon was “pretty”. I could be reading into too deep but every other man in the series is called handsome or some other masculine affection

They missed one of the biggest hints where Sam was reading one of the stolen scrolls from the citadel with his gf where they discovered that Rhagar was married to Jon’s mom in Dorne.

These are not hints. These are just instances where she was remotely mentioned. Only very few of these clips were hints.

I still find it bizarre that Lyanna and Rhaegar did nothing to stop the war. She says nothing to the wider world even after her brother and father and burnt alive, and is seemingly willing to allow her remaining family, the man she was supposed to marry, and thousands of others die too. Rhaegar also never tried to stop it either, somehow thinking that killing his brother-in-law and friends would lead to a happy ending with Lyanna. Idk, it never sat right with me

The end of GOT, John should’ve took the Iron Throne. The show should’ve flashed ahead 10 years or maybe 50 showing him dying on his bed and his son/daughter taken the throne.

Fucking love stannis dude. He doesn’t have enough information to know the who and why but he knows enough to understand that the shit doesn’t add up. A great contrast to Robert who’s whimsily had the wool pulled over his eyes the whole time.

There is a crucial scene missing, when Maester Ameon Targerian and Sam discuss about Danerys Targerian's conquest in Slaver's bay Aemon tells Sam that she is the last Targerian with no one to suggest and Jon appears on screen.....! That's the best hint makers gave us in 4th season.

You forgot the scene where the Jon Snow touched the dragon, looking like he was able to tame it.
