A short documentation of two days of work at Bonsaisense in Mallorca. StudentS either bring their own trees or get to work on the trees in the nursery, everything from yamadori and raw material to high level trees that require maintenance. The school has sessions twice a year in spring and autumn.

Spring work on a Japanese maple, Pruning this years growth and last years extensions that was left to grow for thickening the lower branches and over time get some better proportions on the tree. Cutting one leaf on every pair for allowing more light to the interior branches and new buds and shoots. Still a long way to go from the start material but it’s slowly getting there bit by bit.

A visit to the garden, bonsai, olives, Sabinas, pines and nursery of Rafa Torres. A small impression of Rafa and his works in Mallorca, Spain. Supported by Deyssa and the dogs of course. A showcase of great Olive and Sabina yamadori taken into refinement as bonsai. Subscribe and like and all that if you feel for it, it helps!

The impressions from Friday afternoon with the last setting up of sales area, Saturday and people, trees and trade, a little bit of exhibition but that has mainly been the focus of the earlier films. Then continue Sunday and in to the afternoon with taking everything apart, dismantling exhibition and trade, taking trees out and final deals on trees. Is it long? Yes. Has it structure? Not really...
