😮
I’m in love with
It’s a 4 stroke why would it
Love the layout but those pedestal seats look like deflated junk. Couldn’t add enough foam to make them plush instead of having extra vinyl wrinkled and sagging? I’ve also seen many in person that have huge wrinkles in the laminate flooring, huge quality control issues for a boat that costs 35k.
We haven't had any floor issues but I understand what you're saying about the seats. The boats are built to be a value boat and they could definitely do better in some areas. Unfortunately, that typically drives up the cost.
Phenomenal boats just as long as you don't go through bass pro. Their finance company is very predatory. Got better rates at my credit union.
We don't use their finance either. We've seen much better service from Wake Lending (www.wakelending.com)
Where do the back winch straps thread through and attach? Not up and over the wake plates I would hope?
At the end of the swim step brackets, there is a spot to connect the transom straps. It doesn't interfere with any of the plates.
That engine is too little for that boat.
It's giving ... Get this loss off my lot, so i don't have to look at it anymore. 🤣
How much
How much extra weight are people adding to the 2024s to get good push while surfing? I demoed a 2022 and the guy was using the Swell Surf system and if I'm being honest, it didn't produce any push. I road behind a 2021 SE with 1k of lead and the owners had their own settings dialed in and the boat had great push. Does the newer, heavier 2024 with increased ballast have better push? I currently have a G23 with supplemental ballast and spend a lot of time behind a MasterCraft Xstar-S as a comparison.
We like to adjust the plate settings from the factory setting. With a lot of plate, the boat is going to list more. I've found that if you flatten the boat out a bit from left to right (or right to left) the wave has more push and more barrel in it. I was on an SL last night and the wave was very similar to the G23 with supplemental ballast after I made some adjustments. On the G we typically run 11.2-11.6 mph. On the SL we were running 10.9-11.2 so the face of the wave wasn't as firm as the G23 at the slightly slower speed, but the customer that I took out is 6'4", 240 pounds and he was cruising just fine with no rope riding a 4'7" Ronix Atlantik. He's not a great surfer. He rarely can go ropeless. But the wave was dialed and we were running stock ballast. I actually dropped the non-surf side to 90% and the bow to 85% because there were only two of us in the boat while someone was surfing.
Lots of logs in the water.
what is it’s top speed with a 75hp motor?
20-24 mph depending on load and conditions.
You always do the best reviews. Really appreciate the time you put into these. A couple questions. 1. I know they updated the Mojo in 2021, did they start offering the flip up transom backrests that year as well? 2. Flow 2 vs flow 3, is there a huge difference on surf wave performance? 3. i'm at about 900ft of elevation. Is the 400 enough engine? Due to price point, I will likely buy used and won't necessarily be able to cherry pick all of my options. As always, very impressed with the quality of Moomba for being a price point boat. Fit and finish is leaps and bounds above Axis in my opinion.
Thank you for the kins words. 1. 2021 was supposed to be the first year for the flip up backrests but the supplier couldn't build all the brackets so only a few boats went out with that option. The 2022's and 2023's got the same brackets that are on the Supra's which is much better than the small handful of boats that might have got that option in 2021. 2. The flow 3 plate will clean up the lip of the wave so you don't have to roll it to the surf side as much. I like the flow 3 on a Craz, Mojo, or Makai. On the other boats in the line, the benefit isn't as noticable. 3. The 400 will work fine at 900'. If you're trying to wakeboard with full ballast and a large group of people, you may need to upgrade to a high altitude prop to get more low end torque. More torque means it drinks fuel faster, so I'd only do that if you really need to. For surfing, the wake prop would be fine. I'm not a fan of the "cruise" or "surf" props. They are a higher pitch so they don't use as much fuel as the "wake" series prop. 4. If you can swing a new boat, the Tykon is pretty amazing right out of the box with Flow 2, stock ballast, and 400 motor.
@@galeysmarine amazing info. Thank you so much. The Tykon looks incredible for the money. I store my boat in dry stack, so the extra length and height of the Tykon could end up costing me quite a bit more to store. But definitely something I need to weigh.
I just bought the 2024 TrackerClassic XL. There is something wrong with the Mercury motor. I have used the boat 10 times, and have used only 2 gallons of fuel. The motor starts instantly without choking it. It is very quiet. Don't know how much power it has as I am still in the breakin period and can only run it at 3200 rpm. Note: the motor does not smoke when starting or running. The boat is a fishing machine. It is stable, reasonably roomy, and handles easily on the water. I upgraded the trolling motor to the Motorguide Xi3 with GPS. I operate the motor with a remote. I hate the foot pedal on foot controlled motors.
62k?
This boat sold last year.
@@galeysmarine thank you, just wondering price, I was way off, but just dreaming of my next boat!
@@emerymyers7748 Moomba builds a great product these days. This one went for about $105k. Currently we have a 2022 Kaiyen at $110k. Or we could help you with a brand new 2024 Moomba Max at $105k.
@@galeysmarine do they hold up in salt water well?
@@emerymyers7748 The Indmar motor does have a partially closed engine cooling system, but you'll still have salt water going through the exhaust and ballast systems. The powder coated pieces are the ones to worry most about. The salt and moister in the air will start to corrode those pieces the most.
Will it fit in a single car garage
Yes. Total storage length is 20'1".
Small crew full fuel full ballast, wakeboarder in tow i think this boat would not make 22.5mph.
The Makia is slightly larger than this boat and the 400 motor has been working fine with that boat for years. If you're running in elevation or with extra weight in the boat, the 450 would be a better option.
I have this boat....it's very well designed. V-hull is so much smoother in transit. Room to walk around a lil too.
Everything about these boats comes from china.the prop is from usa
The boat is built in Missouri however many of the bolt on parts and pieces are built in China, as they are in other industries.
point?
Excellent review. Did a great job of covering almost all aspects of this boat (except price). Look forward to seeing future videos from you Steve!
Price will vary depending on where you buy due to shipping costs and options. This boat can be purchased around $113k well equipped (plus freight and prep). Moomba is offering a $5k discount through the boat show season and your local dealer should be offering a discount as well.
About 9-9.5’
Thanks! So not enough to get the full potential right?
@@guillaume0703 correct. Most manufactures used to say it takes about 12' of water depth. With as much as the boats have changed in the last few years, I'd say it's probably more like 15' to get to the point where the bottom of the lake is no longer effecting the way the boat sits in the water when fully ballasted and in a running surf position.
@@galeysmarine wow ok! I used to run a Max in 8-9 feet of water in the Miami bay and when going over 7, the wave would just plummet… no wonder why I had to add 1500lbs of additional sacs over the 4000 stock to get a decent wave! I’m ordering a Tykon but this time in a very deep lake in France so hopefully the wave will be huge! Thanks for the info 👍
@@guillaume0703 You should have a great wave with a Tykon in deep water. If you ever end up in a shallow water situation, you'll need to slow the boat down usually anywher from half a mph to 1 mph.
Do you think the flow 3 is worth the money, I see this one has the flow 2 and the wave looks clean
Hey! Great video! How much depth did you have for the surf wave?
Sorry we missed your comment for so long. That lake is 8'-10' deep. Running 10.2-10.5
@@galeysmarine haha no worries you actually replied below ;)
I just bought the boat and have only taken it out once. Which cleat do you anchor with since there isn't one in front? Either one on front sides of bow ok? Thx.
most people tie the anchorline to the bow eye on the front of the boat where the trailer winch connects to the boat. You could use one of the side cleats if that's easier for you but you might pull the anchore up at some point because of the direction the boat would pull the anchor.
Is the motor strong enough to go tubing with?
It can definitely pull a kid on a single rider tube. Doing anything more than that would depend on the situation. It can probably pull an adult on a tube with no problem, but if you have 8 people and gear on the boat it may stuglle a bit. If you're boating at a lake in higher elevation that will also make a difference. Elevation will rob the motor of power.
I've been looking at these. Thank you for the review. For the price, i think it would be fine as a first-time bass boat.
It will get you out on the water catching fish which is most important. For the price, you get reliability that you won't find in the a $15,000 used boat. We'd be happy to help you make one yours if it makes sense logistically. We have the 2024's in stock.
How much is this when new?
Sorry I don't know why we didn't see your comment sooner. The Moomba Mondo would typically retail between $100k-$115k depending on options.
60 plus
That particular boat was $65k but the Targa V19 that we have at the moment has a subtotal price of $56k.
Ome day I'll be able to afford one
It’s all about timing but it’s so worth it. There’s nothing like time spent in the water.
@galeysmarine you got that right I currently gave a ranger 188 aluminum with a 90 with no powerpole or graphs just need a upgrade when the time is right
I Just bought on pussssyyyyyyyyy!
Upgrade 90hp used mercury optimax
Bass pro garbage
It's a value product and we've sold a ton of them. Tracker is the biggest boat manufacturer in the world and it works for a lot of people. We have more luxurious pontoons in stock if you're in search of a more highend product.
@@galeysmarine the only good product they make are their bass boats. I own one. I would not buy a tracker pontoon
@@Jerry_Drives stay away from the Ranger pontoon then. It's the same boat with Ranger stickers.
@@galeysmarine thanks, I don't really like non hull boats so I'm a little based. I didn't know the two brands were the same
@@Jerry_Drives Tracker bought Ranger and Triton about 5-years ago. All the Ranger aluminum stuff is the same as the Trackers with differnet electronics and decals. For a fishing boat, we like fiberglass as well.
Price?
Out the door is going to be around $25k-$30k depending on motor size, options and your tax rate.
Bayliner pontoon
It's designed to get people on the water. We have more luxurious pontoons in stock if you're looking for something.
I remember the advertising campaign for these boats several years ago for $9999.00.
Ahhh.... We're not sure if those were the good ole days, but we'd love to go back.
I paid that in 2018. That price was worth it idk about this 17,000 bs
Bought a 2021 at bass pro for 10k and it looks tha same as the newer 17k ones 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This boat originally listed for $5999.00. Then came the democrats.
Does anyone know how she does in 2-3 foot conditions?
speak up i can barely hear ya and that's with ear plugs inn!
We have a mic now
@@galeysmarine cool!
I prefer a different layout. Bass fishing has brought about better layouts but the boating industry makes little effort to include them, and when they do, the costs are ridiculous. 100,000 dollars for full bass boat. 150, 200, 250 hp bass boats??? Beautiful but NUTS! WANT PRSCTICAL ROD STORAGE? 100,000 dollar boats to get it!!!! I can pay for one but I'll play golf first!
A 200 hp motor does not enable you to catch more fish.
List your price. If you don't post the price we will shop with those who do.
The price is nationally advertised on Tracker's websit. Since we posted this video the price has gone up twice and we didn't want people thinking the boat is cheaper than the current pricing. 2023's were $16,995.00 but they're no longer in stock. 2024's are getting ready to ship and we don't know what the pricing will be until they start arriving.
You definitely can't say that they don't advertise prices. The website has a clear price on every boat and it isn't negotiable. Clear as day.
Sold?
We did sell this one. We have a white and red one with about 30 hours on it that we can make a deal on. www.galeysmarine.com/--inventory?make=nitro&pg=1
@@galeysmarine honestly I only want that color scheme I am looking for a Pro XL 21 ready to buy
@@galeysmarine 825 credit score. 30k down
You guys rent boats at Don Pedro lake?
No. We do boat sales but no rentals.
How long does it take for the boat to arrive when you order it on their website?
You don't order a boat from their website. The order is placed through a dealership and lead times will vary depending the time of year and how many orders are ahead of you. You should expect at least a 6-8 week lead time and if you order now I would say the wait is more like 10-12 weeks as they're transitioning to 2024's.
We’ve had it for a while
That’s our boat!
It's such a beautiful boat! You guys did great on the build.
What’s the length from the end of the motor to the top of the trailer hitch
23'2"
@@galeysmarine I see that it has a Space-saving swing-away tongue to reduce storage length. I have about 19 ft of storage space will that be enough?
@@robknight4590 20'1" is the storage length. You can find all the spec's on the tracker website. www.trackerboats.com/bass/bass-tracker-classic-xl.html

$35 to launch....no thanks!
Our local lake is $14 to launch and it's a mud puddle. $35 seemed fair for such a better experience. Where do you like to boat?
@Galey's Marine I can see why that would be acceptable. I prefer lake Tulloch $20 or Salt Valley Springs

'promo sm' ☹️
Sorry. People have been asking for content that Tracker doesn't put out. We're just trying to be helpful.
I'd rather spend $20k on a used Ranger or Champion. Prices are insane on new boats now.
Unfortunately everything is expensive these days. As long as you're having fun that's all that matters.
