We want Him to handle our ‘enemies’. How quickly we forget at one point (before salvation) we were His enemies. Suppose He dealt with us in the same manner we want Him to deal with our enemies when we were His enemy? Think of all the wickedness and sinful things we’ve done before being saved, and if we’re honest, things committed after salvation. He was on the cross and asked His Father to forgive them who put Him there, but we want Him to get at our enemies.
