How To Create a Raised Flower Bed in One Afternoon!
Come along and watch as we create a raised flower bed full of tulips, snapdragons, and pansies/violas! This is a quick and easy method to use in one afternoon.
We had 2 yards of landscaping soil mix delivered to our house and we have a good amount leftover that we will probably spread over the rose beds.
Tulips are from Colorblends.com

Gorgeous roses💖. Congratulations on all your awards! Well deserved, for sure! 👏🥰
Love em ! You still using Maxsea food ? You feed 1 cup once or more times a year? Thanks
Laura from Garden Answer has some Collettes growing on arches to the entries of her vegetable garden. They are gorgeous.
@@JermaineGertse I love her channel! Watch it almost daily. Her Colette roses are so beautiful. I wish mine would thrive like that but they have died!
@summermoongarden oh no. Will scrounge around to see what youve done.
Thanks Lauren, great vid! Lovely lashes 😊💐🌈
Congratulations on your rose purchases! I was checking the Palatine site multiple times and went crazy with my purchases!! I purchased: Better Times, Caramel Kiss, Courage (I'm happy to hear that you like this one! Is it fragrant?), Fur Elise, Forever Rose, Perfumed Kiss, Peach Melba, Wellenspiel, Eliza, Liebeszauber, Meine Rose, Queen of the Night, Raspberry Cupcake, Roberto Alagna, Rosarie du Chatelet, Simply Samantha, Sunrise Perfume, Sweet Baby and Vulcano! Phew! I might just pot them up in the Spring and plant them out in the Fall. I like to see how the color is, what the repeat bloom is like and how disease resistant the rose is. I missed out on Sonnenwelt. Where there any that you didn' t get, that you really wanted?
Omg I missed checking for palatine that one day and now everything I wanted is sold out. And even worse they are not selling in the future 😢. I don’t know where to order from anymore. Which website do you like best for Kordes roses?
Soil, not dirt.
I use both words. 😂😉 thanks for watching and commenting
Wowo Video ❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
It’s a bummer that here in my zone 10 B. I can’t grow tulips. I did try last year, but I was not successful. Only three popped up and the rest didn’t make it so practically just a waste of money 🥺🥺 but I’m glad that the people that live up north can enjoy these beautiful flowers😊😊
That is a bummer! But you can grow so many gorgeous tropical plants that we can’t! ❤
Im about to plant my pre chilled tulip bulbs, already counting down the days to spring!!💐🌷
I missed out on Pompeji. I was able to order Blue Girl, Blue For You, Poetry, and Nautica. I wasn't considering the last two originally, but I did some searching online, and they look like they might be "hidden jewels" compared to some of Palatine's other offerings. Happy rose gardening!
Those roses are so beautiful . What order will you plant your front bed: Tulips first then snaps and pansies on top?
So Nice Video ❤❤❤❤
So glad you got what you wanted from Palatine. It's bittersweet, isn't it? Looking forward to seeing those beauties blooming in your garden next season! 😊
You and Eden!! I think I’m the same they are just not doing well for me. Your Bonica in a sunny position I’m sure will fly. Yay you got Wellenspiel also, can’t wait to see that in your garden. They all look great roses. I so wish we had own root here in the uk.
I think I really lucked out with Eden when I had it on the front of the house. The results with Eden in the back garden have been awful! Time to switch to roses that will perform better!❤
Do deer eat the rose buds in the front yard? How do you stop them from eating all the rose buds in the front yard?
Wait.what? Palatine is not going to grow roses after this season??? Nooooooooooooo!!!!!
I know I am so sad too! They have the best quality roses and multiflora does so well in my garden and there aren’t that many growers who use multiflora.
@@summermoongarden 😭
Always love to see what your rose picks are!!💚💚
I'm on the same page with you 😊I received my heirloom roses today zone 8a Arizona so grateful for the mild fall we've had so far Merry Christmas 😊
i’m always excited to see what you’re going to post and plant. I am a big fan of Roses due to seeing your channel. I also got into the Black Friday sale and I’m waiting on mine. I’m so excited happy garden.🌹
Thank you! I’m so glad my channel has inspired you to grow roses. I think we are all going to have beautiful gardens this year!🌹
You shouldn't cut back alba roses. You probably cut off this year's blooms!
How well does Sweet Mademoiselle rebloom for you? If you can answer, Out of all of the roses in this video which three do you think are your favorites and why? Thankyou 😊
That is like asking me to pick a favorite child😂 but I would say that Sweet Mademoiselle, Summer Romance, Courage, and Princess Charlene de Monaco are my top favorites. All are highly disease resistant, stay nice and green all year round, and have very large fragrant blooms! ❤
Sweet Mademoiselle reblooms very well and they are always big blooms! I have 13 bushes of SM because she is just that amazing!
@summermoongarden Thankyou for you swift and honest replies! I enjoy watching all of your videos, and will continue to do so in the future :] -Have a wonderful season of holidays 🙂
Beautiful flowers
I know this is Palatine’s last season for roses. If you could recommend a few that you have purchased from them that have great disease resistance and amazing scent I would appreciate it. I know they sell roses I can get elsewhere so maybe something I can only get there?
What a beautiful garden! Yours roses are very healthy ❤❤❤
Beautiful❤❤❤
When do you first cut your roses back? Is it March or February for Georgia?
@@kellimcdonald4310 it’s usually fine to prune in either month but if it’s a warm winter/spring, February is best!
Beautiful as usual! I am making my list for my order at Palatine! I remember you saying that Pomponella can be up against a wall or fence- because it gets tall, yet it says on their website it gets only 4 ft tall, would you say that it will get taller than 4 ft in your experience? Thanks so much, always enjoy watching your garden grow! Also, did you see the "NEW, or "BACK" roses at Palatine!!! So excited!!
Oh I haven’t seen the new roses from Palatine yet! I will go look. Pomponella DEFINITELY gets much larger than 4 ft tall for me! It acts almost like a rambler here in the south! Mine get huge.
@@summermoongarden nice!
Subscribed! So beautiful!
This is just 1 plant of each??
Love watching your videos. Your garden is gorgeous. I am curious whether you spray or use a systemic for blackspot and pests?
Not related to gardening, but your eye makeup really makes your eyes pop - a beautiful vibrant blue.
'Courage' - Wow!
Hallo, where could I buy this rose? Is it available in Germany?
Kiek žiedų! Tiesiog, fantastika🥰🤍🥰
Koks grožis!🤍
Fantastiška rožių kolekcija!🥰🥰🥰
Hi , your garden is beautiful, what do you use to treat thrips ?
I don’t usually spray but if it gets bad enough I will spray them off with water and RoseRX by bonide.
Beautiful ⚘️ ❤❤♥️⚘️♥️⚘️♥️⚘️♥️⚘️♥️⚘️
Beautiful roses! Where do you garden?
North Georgia USA ❤
So beautiful
2:36 : This rose can't be Queen of Sweden. Do you mean Queen of Denmark? Beautiful compilation!
Ah yes that is what I meant! Thank you for pointing that out! I did this video from my memory only.😅
How Many Of Us Screenshot At Least One Rose Or More??😂😂😂
Such beautiful roses. I love watching your garden grow! I get lots of ideas from you, so thank you for taking the time to post videos!
Since you've added so many new roses, I can't remember if you have Delish or James Galway? If yes, would love any feedback, these are two new ones I want to add next spring. Thank you😊
I used to have James Galway but it got mosaic virus and I took it out. My deelish rose is very small right now and I need to check and see if it survived this year.
Gorgeous!! Thank you for the inspiration, can't wait till spring 🌺
Beautiful ❤thank you 😊
Your house looks beautiful. What color did you choose for the tin roof?
Thank you! Black Fox by Sherwin Williams.❤
Your home is stunning. I watched the video from 6 months ago (Lining the woodland path. I wanted to know what kind of trees are you surrounded by?
Thank you! It is my dream home and I’m so grateful to be here. We have white oak, red oak, tulip poplar, beech, hickory trees, and a few others I haven’t taken the time to identify yet. I’ve planted lots of Japanese maples in our garden, and an October glory maple too. The trees are why we moved here. Most builders of homes and neighborhoods here in Georgia completely bulldoze all the trees down before building, so to have old growth trees on our property is very special.
We did a front porch reno last year and just like yours the finished project made me soooo happy!! The front porch is really my fav room of my house💚💚
