Bourbon 30 Spirits Premium Experience with J. Mattingly
We hung out with Jeff Mattingly, owner of Bourbon 30 Spirits, and talked about how his company stands out from the rest of the bourbon industry. He explains his Premium Experience and the motivations for starting the company.
Jeff Mattingly and his crew at Bourbon 30 Spirits is a must stop for anyone interested in whiskey, bourbon, and rye. Not only can you hand select from hundreds of barrels and make your own blend, but you are treated like family. From the moment you walk in their facility at Georgetown, KY, you get to thieve your own samples, pick your own bottle design, select your label, and finally pick your color(s) for the wax dipping. They do it all. And, the most important part, they hang out with you, answer questions, and make you feel like you're at home. Special shout out to Cecil, Cal, Cam, and Leroy for helping us with everything from selecting barrels, proofing, bottling, and accommodating to our every needs. Couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy whiskey and the amazing team at Bourbon 30 Spirits! Thank you for a truly one-of-a-kind experience!

Переглядів 1,3 тис.4 роки тому
Join us as we discuss two bourbons from Western Pennsylvania that are truly unique and absolutely delicious. McLaughlin Distillery is located in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, which is just outside of Pittsburgh. Their 3799 Bourbon Whiskey is aged in oak barrels that are made of wood from the "North". These trees tend to have shorter growing seasons because of the cold weather. And this gives the tre...

False BASE ID scare
Miss you guys, Please come back!
I am surprised that you know that straight bourbon must be at least 2 years old, but don't know that if it is still less than 4 years old there must be an age statement on the label. If no age statement is on the label then it MUST be over 4 years if they follow the law. I am sure they do. Putting the word straight on the label is not required no matter how old it is (10 for example). I don't use the word straight because only about 1% of people even know what it means. Why put something on the label that people have no idea what it means?
Like the content, but ease up on the music. Is hard to focus on the review. I feel like I’m getting smacked with a 1992 west coat rap record.
I just opend it yesterday. It's so smooth and sweet for me.Rowan's creek is rare in japan, but my favorite bourbon.
Absolutely love it! My new favourite. Thanks for convincing me to hunt it down and guess what I found the store with 6 bottles laying around collecting dust ... Now they are all mine 💪🏻😁
Love this bottle.
where are you fellas?..we miss you guys !
Benjamin Franklin is rolling over in his grave. Smh.... I live in Florida, we are private. We have great prices and a vast selection. The tax isn't even that high, and they are always open. The state is still buying from private markets, and those private markets are only going to allocate so much to the state because they are still running a profit margin to those private businesses. The state doesn't have a state run distillery. Why as a private business would i allocate more than 5% of my product when on each bottle I'm running a loss? It's not worth it. So, they only sell so much to the state and still provide to the private markets so they can meet their profit margins. If it wasn't for States being private and private companies running business, state run stores wouldn't exist, except for maybe one in the middle of the state, and only one store. Like there is only One gun store in all of Mexico and it's state owned.
This is your best video ever, Thank You and can't wait for more video's!!
I've had the blue label one, which I certainly enjoy.
Where is this place
Just picked up a bottle today for a buddy's birthday. Thanks for the review.
Why is it hard to believe these guys
If you like Jameson, try Old Tom Horner. If you like Proper Twelve try Prestone Dot 4 brake fluid.
PA's state-run/controlled liquor began with the first governor. He was a religious nutcase, who chose to *inflict* his personal philosophy on everyone else by controlling the sales. That is just *one* aspect of PA's Tyrannical legal structure. -- After living here since 2000, if I had known 50% of what I know *now*, I would *NOT* have applied for a job here. I left Utah (Salt Lake City) where religion pervades just-about-everything... and came to another fouled-up state.
Forty bucks!! WTF happened in 3 years? Total Wine has this for $115 now. hot damn. I was curious about this Wheated Bourbon but now no way. almost triple the price in 3 years. Something is wrong. Anyway thanks for the super helpful review. I'd try it at $40 but not for $115.
His facial expressions make it seem like she’s drinking liquified dog poop water
Yep, they are alot alike. But you can't just compare 2 bottles, because every bottle is different. I've had 5 bottles of Jameson, they were all different. I've had 3-4 bottles of Proper, and they were all different.
had 4 bottles and now on the last one :(
I'm ready to hit a home invasion for a bottle of E.H Taylor. I always see in people collection just not mine lol
The Pinot noir finished bourbon 🥃 is my go to gift for a new Father instead of a cigar
Socialist state run liquor in the USA??!! Who would of known.
Just opened this and love your review. So good!!! Really impressed with this MGP even though it’s now a little lower proof at 108. Rivals a couple of my EC Barrel proofs!
нормальный или хрень
Good video. I agree. Very good Whiskey. One recommendation- your music is too loud and distracting. It’s also really bad. My opinion though.
I've been enjoying my bottle of Teeling.
Awesome, I was just checking this out! How long was the experience?
It lasted as long as you like!
That liquor looks fabulous and you fellas make a very cute couple. Cheers! 🥃👨❤️💋👨
🤣
@@bourbonbuddies836 👨❤️💋👨🌈 ❤️ Stay fabulous!
For me I love Jameson, Redbreast 12 and that is about it. I just had my 1st go at Proper No12 and I like the sweetness of it. Its really nice on the rocks. Il try it with coke (the drink not the powder he he he) later but I dont know what the buzz is off it yet. Some whiskys make me want to start fights lol I have to be careful. Jameson turns me into a laughing chatty friendly buzz. Jack Daniels will have me end up in jail. Dont ever give me that stuff I be like a wild animal.
I've been planning a trip around some of the bourbon distilleries next time I'm over in the States, definitely adding Bourbon 30 to the list!
Just got a bottle of the BIB and it was excellent. I can't believe I am saying this, but I did detect juicy fruit on the nose and palate. WTF?? This is a very good addition to the collection!
i find that it drinking like a lower proof whisky. I reall y like it but a bit one dimensional. but I really like it. great reviewguys
Couldn’t make it buddies some last minute school thing for the kids popped up. Neil congrats on the pregnancy best of luck. El jefe is the boss for a reason dodging baby bullets lol. Just started seeing EC Rye around here but by now I’m not to anxious to pick one up. Based on your impression of it. I think I’ll wait on it more lol. Cheers buddies and also to Bethlem 😜🥃🥃
First I have heard of Bourbon 30 Spirits and looking forward to finding out more about them. Great video.
Looks like an awesome experience!!!!
Good stuff boys, I can tell you its 100% an incredible experience, my dad and I did it last year and wow what an incredible experience it was, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Good to see you guys back on th3 Tube!
According to The Bourbon Buddies…. This was the best experience ever!!!! Jeff was celebrating his birthday the day we went and Neal was beyond thrilled. I think wifey knocked it out of the park on this birthday surprise!!!!
This was definitely the best birthday surprise I have ever had!... you are the best wife ever!
@@jeffreydunlap6382 ❤️
I'm going to have to give you my wife's contact info, I could use a birthday surprise like this!!!!
@@BourbonandaBaby you got it! I can hook her up for you!!!!!
Great video - and I absolutely love this guy. You guys need to get the reviews going again!
Very interesting Buddies. Didn't know they were around. Would be nice to blend some good stuff. Nice, Cheers 🥃🥃
Nice to see a distiller selling on the goodness of craft instead of hype. Cheers Bourbon Buddies!
Knew nothing about j mattingly. Seem like a cool crew. Cant personally speak for the whiskey.
Info on the AirBNB location?!?
Hey Ryan! Email us at thebourbonbuddies@gmail.com and I’ll send you the link!
I found it this past Tuesday. COVID hurt the production this last year. It cost a bit more this year. $15 vs 12 last year.
I’ll take that! Such a solid supper for that price. And, you don’t fret about pouring a little extra! Cheers 🥃
I've scored some good Ryes lately. The New Riff 100 malted rye was one of the best.
Bourbon drinkers seem to enjoy Proper Twelve. Irish Whiskey drinkers typically don’t like it. I’m not a fan. I get sugary vanilla up front and a super spicy thin finish with Proper Twelve, nothing I’m going to have as a neat pour. I enjoy Powers Gold Label more than both and it’s cheaper than Proper Twelve in Ohio.
Do it taste vanila
@@nealmccauly7482 I get a metallic vanilla like cake frosting then a ton of spice then nothing
@@stacieh4023 wich whisky whould u say are bettdr then proper 12
Inverness cream, do that taste. Same.... I have mor clue on cognac
@@nealmccauly7482 Powers Gold Label, Redbreast, Green Spot, JJ Corry, Dingle, Jameson Black Barrel, Tyrconnell, McConnell’s…there are a lot of Irish Whiskeys that are much better in my opinion.
I'm originally from the Finger Lakes Region but have since moved to AZ. I found this at a hole in the wall liquor store down the street of all places. I had to pick up a bottle and I'm excited to try it but I I'm gonna wait for my wedding reception in October!
Schmalking? LOL
I think I just make words up on the daily 😂🥃
I am in Pa and was interested in this whiskey. How can I get in contact with you?
