So I leave this video with one question. What do I pick from the store? Wasn’t that the whole point of the video to explain what to pick from the store? 😂
I'd like to comment on the farmer suicides in India story. I remember the first time I heard that. I was watching a panel discussion on the CSPAN network. It was 1996. I can't even remember what the overall panel was discussing, but one of the panelist was a woman from India whose name was Vandana Shiva. She made the claim that thousands of Indian farmers were committing suicide every year because their GMO cotton plants were failing, forcing them into unbearable debt. I had never heard of her, but I was certainly moved to feel sorry for those poor farmers. I wanted to find out more about Vandana Shiva. So I went to my local public library, looked in the card catalog for anything she had written - remember card catalogs? - and there was one of her books. It was about how men were bad for the environment and women, adopting feminist ideology, would save the planet. I had a relative who was an ecologist, and male. I never thought he was bad for the environment. I know damned well that his wife didn't think so either. Still, her book on "ecofeminism" had nothing to say about GMO cotton, farmer suicides, etc. But having failed to learn anything about farmer suicides from her book, I moved on to other issues. But not long after that, I began to learn a lot about genetic engineering in agriculture. I learned about GMO cotton, which was by then a very successful crop in America. It didn't seem as if it was grown in India at all. Well, in fact it was, but not exactly the way Shiva described it. Monsanto had created a subsidiary called Mahayco, to introduce GMO cotton the India. The GMO trait was resistance to a serious insect pest. The first step was to prove to Indian authorities that it was safe to grow, and had no serious deficiencies. So Mahayco made arrangements with a few dozen cotton farmers, as follows. They paid the farmer a fee for use of his land, provided him with free GMO cotton seeds, and non-GMO cotton seeds, gave him all he needed to grow the crops, fertilizers, irrigation, etc., and showed him how to make records of the growth, quality, etc. At the end of the growing season, they collected samples of the cotton, GMO and non-GMO to pass on to Mahayco, and then the crop was destroyed. The farmer got a salary for his time. It was obvious to me that under such an arrangement, no such farmer would suffer any financial catastrophe from a crop failure. And since it was not legal to grow GMO cotton in any other way, it was clear that Vandana Shiva was simply lying. How could a few dozen farmers, paid a salary to grow a crop that was evaluated and destroyed, commit thousands of suicides? But there's more. India's regulatory agency for deciding about GMO crops, GEAC (Genetic Engineering Approval Committee) looked at the data, found nothing wrong, and decided it needed more data, so the tests were conducted the next year, and GEAC said it still wanted more data, and so on, year after year. This went on until around 2003. But a few years before that, another seed company in India managed to steal some of the GMO cotton seeds, crossbred them with its own proprietary cotton seeds, and sold them to some farmers. Nobody outside the company knew that these were GMO seeds. But in 2003, in some parts of India, the pest insect, the American bollworm, was so destructive that the entire cotton crop in that part of India was lost - except for a few cotton fields that were untouched by the American bollworm. That was how it was discovered that these farmers had bought the illegal GMO seeds. India's government reacted by saying that they would seize the cotton and destroy it, but Indian cotton farmers, in overwhelming numbers, demanded the opposite, that GEAC would finally approve the GMO cotton variety, and the Indian government backed down and allowed the seeds to be sold for the 2004 growing season. There were about seven million Indian cotton farmers in India in 2003, all growing non-GMO cotton. They didn't grow enough to meet the domestic demand. Now there are about eight million Indian cotton farmers and seven million of them grow GMO cotton. India's cotton production is now hugely increased and it is a major cotton exporter. If you want to look up production numbers, as I did, you will encounter the unfamiliar terms "lakh" meaning 100,000 ,and "crore" meaning 10,000,000.

Hello Since many consumers are having concerns with offgassing and toxic materials used in there companion animals bedding, toys, pet dishes etc we feel this is an important issue. Some pet parents are using products made for children in hopes of offsetting the toxic environment they have inadvertently placeD their animals in and this takes us to using 100% undyed / no pesticides basically pure 100% ORGANIC cotton blankets and rugs. When the items arrive from the manufacturer they sometimes have an odor which is hard to distinguish between the actual cottonseed itself versus the packaging it came in but since pets spend the majority of their time close to these smells we want to include if this in and of itself could be dangerous. Cats for example like to exercise their claws and then lick their paws. Is there any danger in having rugs made of 100% organic cotton when it comes to animals?

This was a 45 minute talk, but the video here is only 2:33 minutes?
My strawberry plants are large and have a nice dark green leaf color. They look healthy, but all of my berries dried up and turned brown. Shriveled and died off. My leaves are still fine. What would be my issue? Not enough water? They are in a raised bed with no soaker system. I have seen the leaves wilt some during hot days if I didn't make it out to water them. They are in the middle of the yard and may be getting too much sun. I have runners all over the place.
I have the same problem...
Sounds like your plants are concentrating on developing leaves not the fruits check you soil levels and it’s best to have soaker system I went cheap way and got a soaker hose with a plastic shield over it to keep water off the plants
What about Ribs..kept under wrap, in the cooler for a few hours?
That is an excellent video. Very well done. I love that you used the same guitar opening that Judge Ken Wise uses on his Wise About Texas blog. Great Job Justin Jenkins!!! Thanks for posting Heather.

Great set of videos on the prime rib. Very educational. Thank you for taking time to create these videos!
Thank you for the sharing effort. Right off the bat; The audio volume is uneven. Either I can't understand or it wakes my neighbor. Tough choice. I'll have to watch it again in the daytime. Add a transcript or redo (auto-caption sucks). Take two: Davey keeps saying; "If what you are looking for..." That makes me angry. I don't know what I am looking for, that's why I came here! Watched it again. I can now identify the parts. Still don't know what to pick in the store. Please answer the original question; "
Will hold over work for prime rib that is cooked to a rare or medium temp? I.e less than 140 degrees. I saw the food grade health temp to be at a minimum of 140 degrees, that’s higher than the done temp
Beautiful farm
