Thanks for this video, it gave me a great start to the repair. I'm in Europe and the wiper assembly is lighter and smaller, but in principle the same. I decided to go the route of cleaning the rotor contacts and disassembling the motor contact casing and cleaning those contacts. I just used a very fine sandpaper which easily cleared off the copper surfaces. This totally restored my wiper motor after it got so bad that even when I pulled the wiper it didn't come to life even in the highest speed setting. After sanding the contacts turn back to copper shine. I did notice that the carbon brush contacts were getting short so it will not last another 10 years I expect. These are a loose assembly on a plastic disc, possibly the disc with brushes can also be replaced. This video made the repair much faster because I knew all the unclear things such as how to remove the wipers from the axle, how to loosen the plastics etc. which speeds up the repair. The two round clips snapped in two because of the plastic age. I will replace them with something else later.

Wasilla Alaska here and yep mine stays on auto for the snow. Tonight it did have a little harder time keeping up so I switched it over to heated and within 3 min the internet was perfect. Love Starlink

I agree with shavings, sawdust or sand. Quail poop is horribly sticky so something to keep it off the flat surface is important as long as it can be composted with the manure. I love it that people try common things for quail housing. This way people with less means or just want to try quail out do not have such barriers. Great Job!!!

If you are needing to actually have your system properly grounded DO NOT GO BY THIS VIDEO…. This video is obviously or I hope only for the demonstration of the tools being used to drive a ground rod. Then this video is great. If you want another just as fast way and much cheaper just use a bottle of water and you can normally do this by bare hand until last foot or 2 then you will need to use a 4 or 5 pound mini sledge to drive it rest of the way to get it below the surface. Just google it and you will see. This of course is if you’re not building on an underground granite or other Stone Mountain.

I had one of these for a little while but I put too much weight into it and put a crack all the way down through it gave it to my friend and he still using it to this day it still holds up but it was my fault for over weight limit and it was freezing cold

If you decide to do this yourself there are two parts that are challenging. Take pictures of where your wiper arms are before the job, and most importantly where the wiper arm linkage is before you pull it off the back of the motor. Take pics. This is critical. Also to remove the wiring plug, you have to use a small flat edge screwdriver to wedge the bottom part of the plug out of its clip. You will see this little nub for the clip on the new motor, and the plug is on there pretty tight.
