I'm just your average blue collar red blooded American that lives for the outdoors. If you enjoy hunting, trapping, fishing and shooting you're in the right place. Most of my content is based out of the midwest. With some western hunts and hikes mixed in. Whitetail deer and fur trapping are my main specialties.

Great video and info!
Eurooptic has a sale at the moment...$180 shipped Besure to clean the camera lense before next video?
Thats a good deal! It was sun glare off the snow outside! I tried to get it less glare but couldn't. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the heads up on the spotting scope I'm from Ohio and would be a good one for groundhog hunting and for deer
Great demo my friend! Thank you for sharing!!
@@MarkJLarsonOutdoors appreciate you buddy
Excellent video thanks for the Demo now I feel a lot more comfortable purchasing the coal shale. Do you know the cost for a 5 gallon bucket?
@@brianmuska6471 per the NO BS Lures website, it’s $45 shipped per 5 gallon bucket.
Yea that's right and it's $25 I believe at the conventions.
@@huntready1435 also $25 at Sleepy Creek Tannery in Wellsburg, Iowa.
@coyotestalker1580 pretty hard to beat for that price
Sleepy Creek Tannery in Wellsburg carries the NO BS coal shale now. I was just there last week and they had like 5- 5gal buckets. This video is exactly what I needed because I wasn’t sure what it was or how well it worked. Thanks
@@coyotestalker1580 i think you'll really like it! Keep me posted if you do end up using it!!
I've used it a bunch and it is really good stuff !
Great video What size swivel you using
They are 1500lb barrel swivels
Never thought to pound places for levers. Great tip
Hello, I am the happy new owner of a Kifaru shape chage, without a doubt I love it, but I find that the zipper of the main compartment is not smooth, it does not run fluidly, is the same thing happening to you with yours? Or maybe mine is very new (two days of use) and when it is used more everything will work better? Thank you very much in advance and I wish you a very happy new year with your family (keep in mind that I use Google translation to write to you, the translation may have errors)
It should break in. Great pack!
@huntready1435 thank yoy wish you happy new year !!!
Put your index finger under pan thumb on top of pan easy to set night latch. Love mine
Great video curious what kind of traps do you use thanks
NO BS K9 EXTREME JR'S. Specifically the 4 coiled Pro's
Thank you
Completely went away from waxed dirt , can't pack it and the coyotes around here won't step on it .
I sure don't miss waxed dirt. And yea it is a pain to bed in it too.
I've never tried coal shale but I love using waxed dirt its really working good this year with the rain! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Like to see you bed one in coal shale I’ve been thinking about trying it
You bed it exactly the same way. It just beds much easier because it isn't spongy like peat.
I was looking at a couple of your older videos on it and you were having some issues with traps freezing down how did you remedy that ?
@HuntTrapHomestead I was being cheap trying to not use much coal shale. Get a good solid covering in your trapping bed. Had no issues with it this year.
Excellent video!
Great explanation!! I do the same thing with my dirt holes and this example is one of the best ways to do it! Great job Brother! Tight chains!
Appreciate ya buddy! Tight chains!!
Great lookin gear and set up. Where did you find that camera arm, I need one of those for deer hunting
Lone Wolf Custom Gear
How do you attach the belt pouche to the seat?
@@kylebaylor4226 with the 3 bar sliders that come on the pouches. They go right into the milled out sections on the seat.
Check out the rick young bino harness
Great video! Can’t beat the .5! If you’re looking at the tethrd one sticks, the new cruzr solution sticks seem nice as well. Easy and quick attachment.
Thanks for watching! I'll check those out
Turn the damn music off!!!!!!
The video is like 3 years old dude. Calm down
Great Content.
@@eddyk34 appreciate the support!
I must have missed this one! Good luck with the cat my friend!
Great set up. Thank you for sharing. I like the bucket and mine is not that organized.
😮😮
I am just getting into trapping and I like your videos.
Appreciate it! Tight chains!!
Thanks for sharing man. I’m still trying to figure out what I like best.
@@Stanstrapping man it takes a while!!
Good job with the bucket
Good stuff man!!
Well organized.
Nice catches that’s how it goes sometimes when you think they’re not doing anything and then one day ja-Sam 😂
Thank you for sharing brother! Very well organized!
Thanks for watching!
Great job my friend!! Thank you for sharing!! Good luck with the muzzleloader season!!
Man I love setting bean feilds!! Aparently you do very well with them also!! Nice job brother!! Will be glad when you reset!
Thanks for sharing. Always like to see what other trappers use on there line.
Nice setup,We use one of those it's calked "grab the coon bucket" lol nothin but coon trapping gear. I have the Wieser bag to like it and do know what ur saying. Perfect way to hold the driver and auger in place i did to a pack basket i made for a wallmart trash can. Good show . Tight Chains.
Thanks for sharing the bucket seems to Be very organized and an easy way to get all your gear from place to place!
2 nice catches are you pulling all your traps for muzzleloader season then resetting?
Not sure yet. If I do reset it'll be after Christmas
Nice catches. Good luck deer hunting.
It's a bummer that there isn't a market for that color. I put a set (trail/flat set) in on a cross over that has a trail going through. No coyote but a coon. At least I caught something in that set
Exciting to see the rough profession very cool 😎
Along that trail set where you caught that coyote you could put in a t bone set they have been working good for me and using just caster lure in the t bone with a little urine
@@paulhuval We can't have exposed bait in Illinois. Otherwise I'd definitely be doing sets like that .
@huntready1435 you cannot do anything in Illinois lol. Anything goes here we do not have those kind of regulations. Only thing we have restrictions on is using traps with teeth on them.
@@paulhuvalyeah Illinois blows in many many ways. Lol
Nice job buddy!! Keep catching! I put all my spare trap tags in a pill bottle. Works really well, just throw the bottle in your bucket and you will always have them. Great job buddy, tight chains!
@@Keystonetrapper that's a great idea!
Nice catches , I have a question how are you attaching this barrel swivels ? I know there strong enough they look like 850 lb . But I didn’t know they came open ended .. jw
No sir they come from NO BS already installed. They are 1500lb barrel swivels. You'd have to get the D ring opened up to install them I'm guessing. Which if your traps have bolted in baseplates that shouldn't be too bad
Nice catches brother,
Thanks!
Great catches my friend! Thanks for bringing us along on your line!
Thanks for watching!
Great job brother!! Glad to see you making some catches!!
Appreciate it! The fur is starting to pile up!
I’m not a fan of any trap with an elongated pan. For me it creates more dead space. Good luck trapping.
What brand and size is your slatwall? That’s sharp
@@chrismccoy8280 it's 4x8 sheet of slat panel from Menards. I used black spray paint in the slat grooves and used a roller to put green paint on. It really turned out good. Going to add more!
Do you set it the same as a Duke with the same tool?
Yup sets just like a Duke dp.
I thought I was the only one that hated wearing a bino harness. I just keep my binos in my bag now.
@@JesseandRonnie It gets in the way for sure setting up and tearing down. But it's so damn handy. I'm going to try the Kufaru harness next year. Looks a bit more streamlined
