I don't think anything in the game triggered fight or flight more than Special Shower. Even after learning that none of these locations have any real dangers in them, Special Shower feels so unsafe.

When people think grimdark, theres usually some type of fighting force against the dark, like big beefy boys or an albino elf man with magic powers. I think of this. No hope or fighting chance in a world that is designed to be painful and uncomfortable. To top off the grimdark cake, what is Matvei gonna do if he escapes? Go back to his bleak retail job life in a city where pollution is everywhere and violent crime runs rampant, his mother being the victim of one such senseless crime. This game makes me feel bad, its great!

Currently working on producing a video regarding Psychopomp's story. Spending enough time studying the plot, you can find that all of these locations are somehow important or connected to the story in some way, shape or form, except one -- the Rust Mother Artificial Cave. There is literally no connection to the story with them, as far as I can tell. It's literally the only "WTF" location in the story, all of the other secret locations aren't that scary with the context that the calls provide. But this? This just happens to be here. Combined with the theme, too, I came very close to staining my boxers a different color.

Psychosis is a very serious mental health condition and these girls are mostly just violent, wouldn't want the connotation to be Psychosis = Violence. There is something deeply wrong about the "Special Shower"...The way the character in the tub sounds as if it were strangled, the way its been stripped bare of all clothing and even *skin*, and especially that perverted sounding "Mmm~" noise that plays as the character appears to nervously try to cover its body makes me feel like this is possibly an allegory for something very sickening...

the human place and the museum made me question and think so much about this games story i geniunely felt sick

The new locations were honestly creepier than the levels themselves, especially Spiral and the Special Shower
