Why don’t they use glass lenses

Rimless glasses are the worst thing you can wear if you have a very high prescription! They are more invisible and if the lenses are too thick, then making holes in them is too hard, also repair and maintenance are a nightmare for rimless glasses.

If you want rimless glasses you need to know this Do not get any polish on the lenses. It will cause the light to hit the top and bottom lens and cause a glare in your eyes.

I custom made a pair of the classic rectangle titanium and black Lindberg about 20 years ago. I even have my name on them. Even though I own other glasses, the Lindberg has to be the one I wear most. This also reminds me I need to get the lenses changed… even though the frame is still good, the lenses are a bit banged up!!

My contact lense prescription is = minus 5 left eye and minus 6 right eye, can I still have rimless glasses? My opticians said no because the lens will be to thick? Any advice please?.. Thanks
