Hi Ashwini, For the 1-year full-time MBA, IIMs don’t conduct any exams on their own, at least not in my knowledge. You need to fulfill the eligibility criteria highlighted in the video. Your experience will be considered full time if you are working somewhere on permanent payroll, or you are working as an entrepreneur or into family business full-time and can show any proofs. Hi Mandilwar, If the recommender is expecting email but don’t receive the same, then a few institutes give an option to change the email ID on the application workflow itself, even if the application has been submitted. If it’s not the option, It’s always recommended to call the institute’s admission office and ask them what are the options to change the email ID. Hi Parkhi, The 1-year full-time MBA needs you to have experience for applying in any B-school. It's another thing that B-schools have different criteria. Please watch my below video if not have watched it already and you will know these things in detail: ua-cam.com/video/EpH74Gru2Ks/v-deo.html GMAT score remains valid for 5 years, so most of the B-schools consider your score if it is within 5 years at the time of application. Please note that a few B-schools consider it for the last 3-4 years, so do check your target school's website. Having said that, once you have the GMAT score and don't want to wait to complete 2 years or more experience to secure an admission, you can apply to ISB's YLP program and reserve your seat for 2 years later. Doing this allows you to get admission into their PGP program at ISB as soon as you complete 2 years of work experience. My suggestion, start the preparation and also a full-time job as soon as you complete your BBA(Hons). After completing a few months in the job, give your GMAT if your target is other B-schools than ISB. Reason? As soon as you finish your 3 years/4 years/5 years, you can get into one of the B-schools mentioned in the video and your GMAT won't expire till then. I hope this helps. Keep watching.

Hi, Please don't compare your current package with the worth of an MBA. If your under-graduation can pay you well in your first job, then there is a high chance that a post-graduation will add to it. Education always adds value. If you want to do an MBA and can leave your job, prefer a regular MBA (2-year or 1-year) from any top B-school. Else, go with an Executive MBA. I hope this helps. Hi Shubham, I think you still have a chance to pursue a 2-year full time MBA from any top B-schools in India, just because of your work experience. So, you can try your best with CAT. Some candidates take admission in the 2-year MBA after 4 years of work experience, so you shall start preparing without any delay because if you delay it further then you may not enter into the 2-year program and will have to go for the 1-year full-time MBA. Regarding SPJain, it is a good B-school but I think you shall focus on the top IIMs first via CAT or ISB/top IIMs via GMAT. I hope this helps. Keep watching.

For GMAT every coaching institute has a different way of teaching, some do it using recorded sessions, some using classroom sessions, other using hybrid, etc. So it depends on what suits the candidate. SPJIMR PGPM 18 month program 3. IIM M - PGDEx-VLFM 12 month program I have a question, how is IIM BLACKI 1 year programs credibility to get opportunity in SCM roles post completion of studies? When I go through their placement report, I see majority of folks get into IT/Consulting/BFSI sector. But when I look at the demographics of the class they do come from the same sector. So can you explain my question with IIM Indore's example of 1 year MBA program, like did you come across any of your batch mates who were from SCM background and after completion of program they got into SCM roles in FMCG/FMCD/Chemical/Pharma sector.

Hi Archana, 645 in GMAT Focus is equivalent to 87.7%ile (700 as per GMAT 10th Edition), so it is usually considered a good score. Regarding ISB, 9 years of work experience is above the average work experience in ISB, so I suggest you target the top IIMs, IIM-A to start with. This score should be fine for getting shortlisted as you are from Defence background, but please try to apply in the 1st application round itself. Also, if you want to try for a better score to be on a much safer side, you can try for 665-675. I hope this helps. Keep watching.

To answer your question, most of the top B-schools need 50% aggregate marks till bachelors, for reserved categories it is 45%. Hi Anupam, Sorry for a bit delayed response. The 1-year full-time MBA (this is NOT an executive MBA) from IIM/ISB can definitely be pursued but you need to know about the below things before starting this journey: 1) You need to target only those top B-schools which has a significant cohort of your similar work experience. IIM-A, IIM-C, IIM-I, IIM-L, XLRI - These can be your targets, but my personal suggestion is to target IIM-A for your work experience because it has the biggest batch size, which means more candidates in your work experience and thus more opportunities. 2) If you are planning to switch the job function/industry altogether in which only your transferrable skills will help, then you may have a tough time because of your 17 years of significant experience. So you may need to compromise on the salary or designation in the beginning. Many candidates in this experience have expectations which sometimes don't match with offered roles, so these candidates find it tough during placements. 3) Does B-schools deny admission in this experience? - Answer is "Not really". The mentioned B-schools allow admissions. Please check the brochure/placement reports of these B-schools and you will find the cohort distribution. 4) Will you be out of place? - Not in the mentioned B-schools. I hope this helps.
