5 SIMPLE HACKS & COOL ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR TRIUMPH SCRAMBLER
Great video! But remember to cancel that left turn signal 😉😂
Ugh it is the bane is my existence… but you right lol
@ I’m about to buy a CFMOTO 700clx, it has auto cancelling signals, not that I need them of course 🤪🤣😂
Ohhh congrats! That should be a BLAST to ride 👌🏼
Loved it, it sums me up perfectly. I’ve just turned 50 and have got the bug!!! 🏍️❤️
Love it!!
Would have sworn you were reading a script with how well everything was said but you were literally riding your bike while talking! Great video!
lol LOTS of time planning and editing clips on this one
Amazing video man everything is so true, i would just say the bike is a little loud and your voice is sorta hard to hear, just thought i’d let you know
Hey glad you enjoyed it! I’ll see what I can do to fix that, and I appreciate the feedback!
@ yeah man keep em up! thanks for not taking it the wrong way though 🙏
I do occasionally downshift into first gear, and I ALWAYS use the rear brake with the front brake because done properly, you’ll stop sooner. Nice to see new riders on cool bikes! Food/coffee reviews in metro ATL are appreciated (I’m over there for work a lot). I’ve been riding constantly since 2014, FYI, and I have a Triumph Speed Triple 1050RS and a Vespa scooter (and three other bikes). I found you because I’m contemplating a Scrambler 900. Good stuff, bruv!
Woh quite a collection you have! What are the other 3? And I do love the scrambler 900, probs my favorite bike I’ve owned.
Also working on a video right now about the triumph modern classic lineup, check back Thursday or Friday 😂
Very funny, VERY true!!! 😂
Hey, glad you enjoyed it!!!
I'm convinced that I will graduate from beginner to intermediate rider when I can remember to turn off my turn signal
lol hey, to this day I still find that every once in a while I leave it on lol
There is something to using all the gears and all the throttle, especially if you are not into speeding
Yes yes exactly!
I feel like we need to talk 😅 I did my driving license some 25 years ago, but never got a bike. That time has come and I have decided to get one next year. My attention was grabbed by Royal Enfield and in particular the 411 Scram - for its character and simplicity. Also the 350 modes are lovely, but I cannot help the impression that at times I might become a nuisance for car drivers on faster B roads here in Germany. Only very recently I started to wonder whether some nice modern classic bike might be a better choice. Interceptor 650, Kawasaki W800, the 900 Triumph 2 cylinder family. I am not that worried about ‘too much power’ as I think my head can handle it, I am more wondering about the weight. What would be your take in that?
On my opinion every bike handles differently but weight is a huge contributing factor. My triumph scrambler weighs over 500 lb with a full tank and fluids so it is a fairly heavy bike but it is manageable because it is relatively low to the ground. The weight is just something to get use to and is more of a hassle at slow speeds but none the less something that with a little practice you will get use to and overcome quickly. If you are a new rider I would always recommend something lighter though as counter steering is easier and so is maneuvering at slow speeds.
@ thank you
Hey motostruck, love your setup! I have a question: Did you have to adjust the length of the cables in order to fit the protaper handlebar? Thank you 🙏
No they actually worked perfectly without lengthening them. I did almost add a riser and that didn’t work so thought about getting longer ones but have not
@@MOTOStruck thx, I don't want to bother you but I have another question :))) I looked into the Protapers and now I don't know which bend to choose there are a number of different bends (CR High Bend, CR Mid Bend, ATV High,Low,Mid, KX High Bend and the list goes on..) what bend did you go for? A BIG THANK YOU! Tschüss!
All good boss! It’s actually linked in the description of all my videos (#11)
You’re always welcome to ride out in Woodstock/ Milton area. My wife started on a Rebel 300. Total turd but it gave her some confidence because it was low and light. We just got her a Bonneville and she is realizing she got a false sense of security on that tiny bike. Like she’s completely starting over. And yes my blinker has been on since 1990
I do like riding up there! Ya it is amazing how different bikes will handle so differently! I kinda had the same experience going from a Honda rally.
Those gloves are insanely sick -- where did you get them?
Also, I have some issues with GoPro Hero 10 Black + media mod + mic -- when it's not freezing all the time (I've formatted cards clean inside the camera), then it's recording wicked distorted, choppy, and inconsistent audio. Lost so many solid chunks of footage this way. Do you have/have you had these issues at all? If so, what's the fix? Your audio sounds great!
Pretty sure they were an Amazon sale find 😂
I have not had any of these issues, I’m just using the media mod to a splitter with a purple panda mic and another no name pic to capture motorcycle sound vs my voice. The only thing I will say is that I did buy a memory card specifically made for video, could try that?
I agree... any chance you can look up the order history and see what they are?
I agree! Any chance you could look in the order history and let us know what they are?
Excellent video, i just started riding. A new Klx300. I love it so much but im still not super confident taking turns. It sits so high and idk how much i can lean it with dirt tires. im always worried about sliding it out or something.
That is awesome and I’m glad your enjoyed the video! I’d say you’ll learn more with practice but never to force yourself to lean into a turn, just let it happen naturally and counter steer as you go. The other thing is to look at where your tires are wearing and if it’s near the edge you may be pushing to to the limit already
You keep exploding peoples downfalls that is not close to rite
So sorry if you didn’t enjoy the video
What bike are you riding?
It is a Triumph Scrambler 900, fantastic bike
@@MOTOStruck I love my 900 street twin.
Hello my friend. Is this the Dart windscreen? Does the wind deflector make any difference with wind buffeting?
It’s just one from Amazon (link in the description) but yes it does make such a difference!
Deer on the left 4:19
lol ya there are SO many in Atlanta
Hey there, Thanks for the video. I have a 22' street scrambler and am thinking of swapping out the bars. I had few questions and would very much appreciate your input. Did the bar swap require any internal routing of cables? What model pro taper did you get and do you like the ergonomics? And lastly, How tall are you? Thanks, Dan
No all the cables stayed where they were, the link to the bars is in the description in case you want the exact same ones and I do love the way I fit on the bike (I’m 5’9)
@@MOTOStruck thank you!
I'm the same I recently hit 1k subs but for a totally different subject.. I range from 400 to 16k views per video.. I started it to document my collection because as u say it lasts forever and posterity 👍
Good stuff, I’ll have to check out a few of your videos
Oh FPV, noice.
Greetings from Germany from another Scramblerdude with a Blinker-Problem.
lol it’s a work in progress! Do you also have the 900?
@@MOTOStruck yes, scrambler 900.
when people don't turn their turn signal off or that don't use it at all. people that get too close at a traffic light. people that have kids with them with no riding gear on at all don't care how long you have been riding kids should have gear on.
Agreed!
Nice arm skin. Would be a shame if it all got smeared all over the pavement because you're not wearing gear. Wear some gear folks. Don't be dumb.
☝🤓
What bike is it?i lije the view and sound
It’s a Triumph Scrambler 900!
Do your thing but you should mix the audio better/get a different microphone. Are you recording while riding? Good video anyway, keep it up the work!
Thanks for the support/advice! I am looking into new in helmet mics if you have any suggestions?
You’re always great to watch, mate. So nice to see your vids on a big 75’ tv. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it!
It is "plain" not "plane."
lol thanks for catching that
It depends on what's happening at home and if they like them or not. As they can make your life hell if they don't. Harleys might be outside a Psychiatrist's office as they can afford them.
lol ya Harley’s have gotten a bit out of control haha
1. It’s not the bike but the activity of riding that can bring joy sustainably 2. bigger ist not always better. Had a 700cc, didn’t feel comfortable riding it. Swapped for a 125cc and I am having a blast. Don’t be ashamed of it!
Agree with you on that one, what a great way to put it! And bigger is not always better I had a monkey and that was a blast but I do enjoy having the power to get me out of situations created by other riders here in Atlanta! That said riding a slower bike fast is 100% better than riding a fast bike slow so ppl with the 1000cc sport bikes is asking for trouble in my opinion!
Is that a windshield extender on your bike?, does it help the wind to go above your head?
Yes it is just a cheap one off Amazon (link in the description)! It does help quite a bit and also keeps the wind from buffeting so it help my audio when making these videos
@@MOTOStruck nice, I need to install one for my Triumph scrambler 400X, didn’t know this existed till now, thanks dude.
I am in the proces of becoming a biker. Since I became employed and my life got busier because I am living now with my gf. I dont have time for myself everyday now but once or twice per week I will find time to go for a ride with my future bike, just enjoy an hour or two with myself and the motorcycle, reset the mind, live in the corners and that will be my hobby for me. I think everyone needs to have something on their own, thats where the happines comes from with which you affect the world around you - your family, partner, friends, workmates etc...
What a great outlook and love that you’ve found riding as a hobby! 100% agree!
That’s easy. Yes…yes it will. One way or another.
One way or another!!
I just started riding. I have the same bike as you. I have a similar experience as you when im riding. Im paying attention to everything that is currently happening on the road to ensure that im having a safe ride. Its like putting a pause on life, and I love it. The feeling I have after riding during the reflection process is great for me as well. I agree with your opinion on owning a motorcycle. Its not a full problem solver, but it does have a medicinal effect to ones mind. I wanted to ask what mic setup you are using? I can hear your voice clearly, and I can also hear the sound of the bike perfectly in the background. Your setup seems perfect. Great vid!
Congrats, my dude! Where do you like to ride most? I am using a GoPro media mod hooked into a purple panda mic
@MOTOStruck I mainly ride on small town backroads. Not too much highway stuff. So your mic inside your helmet pretty close to your mouth?
Ya way more enjoyable on the back roads anyways! Yes it is tucked right inside my right cheek pad so not directly infront of my mouth. Also using a full faced helmet which blocks most of the wind noise until you get up over 55-60 mph
@MOTOStruck I see. I have a full face helmet as well. I recently purchased thr dji action 4 along with the dji mic 2. Just waiting for my helmet mount to come in. I'm curious how it will sound compared to yours. Your setup seems legit. I really dig the sound setup.
Love it and can’t wait watch one of your videos
Wife and I both ride Bonnevilles she’s 5’2” and does just fine. We ride in same area as you and pretty much never have close calls. We don’t consider the occasional lane change or pull out a close call. Those are normal items. Also great for shopping cause it limits how much she can buy. 😂
lol that it will, still trying to think of a good way to get extra bags/luggage on the scrambler without it being lopsided
I noticed you hare protaper handlebars fitted on your scrambler, which particular model?
Hey @ripmax333, it’s these (also linked in the description): Pro Taper Contour Handlebars 1-1/8" - www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-contour-handlebars-1-18?
@@MOTOStruck oh sry I didn't checked the description..my bad.
This is really bad "advice" Have you ever been in an accident? Sometimes it's not your fault, sometimes it doesn't matter how safe you were riding. You can be going 25mph and get hit by a car going the same speed and it will definitely fuck you up. You don't have the credentials to be saying anything like this with any real confidence.
You are right, I have not crashed and have only been riding for a few years so I may not have the credentials. That said, I am simply encouraging anyone who rides to buy the gear that they will actually take the time to put on and wear each time they go out (as safe as you can be as some gear is better than none).
I live in Alabama and always end up in Georgia to get cars, trucks and bikes lol
lol I find this so funny as I’m constantly in Alabama for vehicles from boats to bikes lol
Don't be cringe people. ATGATT!
Agreed! But also find the gear you will actually end up wearing!
I do not think you know how insurance works. American, right? :D
lol I mean simply planning for what could eventually happen based on your risk tolerances?
Yes everything is handled by risk factor and slamming into a truck 60mph will most likely kill you regardless if u wear gear or not, but statistically most motorcycle crashes happen in low speed, even sliding on the tarmac at 20mph gives you insane roadrash. So ATGATT is there to protect you from those kind of crashes, i think not doing ATGATT is just a poor excuse nowdays considering the variety of motorcycle gear such as armored hoodies, armored underwear, Jeans, casual reinforced shoes. Id consider ATTGATT as insurance, you can ride for 20 years without an accident but oh boy you wish u had ur gear on when u hit that patch of sand making you lowside at 40mph
Agreed! The question for me and everyone else is about what gear you can get that you will actually end up wearing and to your point there is gear for everyone even if it is a more casual looking armored piece!
@@MOTOStruck the least intrusive combo my friend wear is an Armored jeans & hoodie, along with dainese suburb shoes. He put D3O ghost in there and its barely noticable. He wears it all the time, even when he isnt on a motorcycle because its not a hassle to put on. if it rains he just put a raincoat over his sweater and boom waterproof obviously there are extremes to ATGATT like full track suits and boots but i feel like those are ment for doing trackday or illegal speeds, not some casual riding getting to the store and back
greetings mate! always so nice to see another vid here, always cheers me up. Im all in for ATGATT. it is beyond dangerous to ride here in Auckland NZ, so I gear up to my teeth even if it's to go around the blocks. but like you, Im more of a cruiser, minimal motorway rush, even so I dont feel safe not gearing up. I guess it really depends on how confident one might be on the road? thanks for the excellent vid once again!.
@RicPuzzles I am so glad you enjoy them! Experimenting with posting every Thursday or Friday (or both?)! Also I’m a bit jealous of riding in New Zealand, I can only imagine you have some pretty epic routes around you? It is on my bucket list! Good to hear you are riding safe!
Some interesting points. Have you heard about the only company building a v8 car from now on is the Ford mustang. Last of the Mohicans.Stay safe!!
lol my guess is that it will be a while before that happens! Ride safe!

Definitely good tires & correct pressure .Check whole bike out often. If you didn’t start really young, you need to take the decision to get a bike, and the gear you wear, even more seriously!!
One thousand percent!
@@wbwills2 I live here at Eastern North Carolina.Very warm I cringe every time I see guys on Harley's with shorts and flip-flops.It's amazing.I would never take that chance, won't pants?Boots, and maybe my light leather jacket shirt. No tank tops no shorts no flip flops
Ohh it is beautiful there! I don’t get it either
Such a rookie. Try to be safe out there. 50+ years for me.
Love to hear it!
Here in the UK you have to wear a helmet everytime you're riding by law. 👍
@CTallant thank goodness! I really don’t understand the folks who don’t wear one, IF for no other reason then to just lessen wind noise and or listen to music etc…. Seems like the easiest thing you could do to create the most safety. I’m here in Georgia and you have to here too.
hundred percent agree, subscribed to help your channel. cheers
Love to hear it and I really appreciate the support, cheers!

What sort of bike do you ride?
@@MOTOStruck gsxr and drz
I gear up out of habit. If something happens, I prepare and accept that. You can have something crazy happen. Freedom has a price. I pay up by gearing up. But I like moto gear. 😊
@michaeledwardlenzi I love that phrase “pay up by gearing up”. Just out of curiosity, do you wear full moto track suits or protective jackets/pants?
@@MOTOStruck I wear a perforated Vanson leather jacket, padded moto jeans(when in the city), an airbag vest and leather racing pants(for high speed highway work), Daytona 2 piece racing boots, full face helmet and riding gloves. Sometimes it is a pain in the ass. But I treat it like a fireman, cop or soldier would. Discomfort in the near term for a bit more peace of mind. Riding for many years has taught me that road rash is terrible, severly bruised or broken elbows and knees are to be avoided and broken ribs are a bummer. I cover the bases and keep my head in it when I ride. It is the game of having fun and staying upright to ride again.
I have not had the chance to get an airbag vest yet! Love the commitment to safety, we need more riders like you!
@@MOTOStruckIt is a selfish thing for me as in take care of myself. I firmly believe in the idea of riding your own ride. Each person makes their own choices. Be safe out there!
Not sure it’s the money so much as guys just being pansies. My daughter is 20 and yes we bought her a bike but she has a hard time finding friends to ride with. Hell we even to her boyfriend we’d pay for MSF. Nope he’s a pansy too.
@loosingparts6159 I too find it hard to find people my age to ride with and most times end up riding alone which I still enjoy but it would be fun to have motorcycle friends! I rarely venture outside of Atlanta and don’t enjoy riding on the highway so I’m sure that limits my riding buddies.
Had mine a full year now and love it. I live in a city and use it at least three times and week around town and on out in the twisty roads on the weekends. I’ve been out on it in all weather all year in summer as well as through the winter [except snow and ice] It is a genuine go to everyday use bike.
@robg521 that it is! A bit on the heavy side for moving around at slow speeds but still one of my favorite bikes!
Such a great vid, mate. Thanks for sharing! Really enjoy your vibes.
So glad you enjoyed it! This was one of my favorite videos to make!
