Russell Mael must be the most in-shape frontman ever, at least far as cardio. How he dances and sings those very wordy lyrics without losing a breath is incredible. I know he can't quite dance like that anymore but he's still phenomenal.

Music like this can only spring from genius minds. I am guilty of not caring much for them in the early Seventies- they were categorized as glam-rock and I was into prog. I had to suspect they were good as they had some connection with my all-time idol Todd Rundgren. So I am discovering them now. They are truly sensational. Russell is quite clearly one of the best pop/rock (??) singers/frontmen of all time. Ordering Kimono my house now. Absolutely brilliant compositions and top tier live act.

Really hope its not the end of his live tour days. Id be happy with a solo tour just him and a piano.

Saw this tour at Jones Beach on Long Island. Mind-blowing doesn't even scratch the surface

Amazing. At this point I think it's safe to say that, out of all my favorite bands, Sparks lasted longer than any other, assuming the rules state that the core founders have to be there and still kick ass live. As a bonus, they can play anything from their discography and build interesting set lists like this!

‘Nothing is as good as they say it is’ If that was the first song I ever heard from them when my obsession began…..I can’t even fathom the butterfly effect. I know if I had put the hours into something productive like work or introducing myself to females I’d be wealthy and probably have half of that wealth going out towards more child…. If I’m being perfectly honest, which I suppose I am because I was gonna just say married. Musicians faces while they’re playing that song they were just getting through it as embarrassed as I was for them ..Golleee The reason I didn’t go to the show despite being the biggest possible Sparks fan that could exist was because they literally excluded all 4 of the good songs from the new album while including every bad song. I’m curious if anybody debates us if anybody knows the new album and would disagree that the only good songs on it straight up hardline good songs Are in order of appearance of the album - 1. Veronica Lake (would not have included that one initially but it’s a grower) Veronica Lake, was A 1930s actress and the song is a historical vignette about this ancient of babes from a band who finally got their due, giving Veronica her much deserved Due for quite literally sacrificing more than some gave with their own otherwise miserable or insignificant ives (not being disrespectful, a cold comparison, ) in cutting off her DEW which somehow someway took her from America’s top girl to completely forgotten and obscurity. From what she recovered. 2. The Mona Lisa is packing. 3. Not that well-defined. ( one of two very good tracks on this album) 4. You were meant for me tonight. ( two of two and the last of the very good tracks on this album) What are your thoughts?

Wow, thanks! I rediscovered Sparks watching their Glastonbury performance 2 weeks ago and can't beleive how many amazing songs they've written and released when I only knew 'This Town'. Have ordered the Sparks Brothers DVD from Amazon and spending far too much time watching UA-cam performances. Hope they tour the UK again next year as kicking myself not found them sooner!

Very impressed with Russell's vocals. He's 74 and at that age most singers have lost their upper register but he's still hitting the high stuff like he was 50 years ago.

Hello. Sparks 🤗 I have been watching you since I first saw you on Top Of The Pops with This Town Ain't Big Enuff For Both Of Us. I married a Sparks Fan 40 years ago. My hubby was a drummer in a punk band. I have two daughter's in their 30's both Spark fans and we have two Grandsons. The 4 year old love Sonic & Sparks!!!!!
