I work overnights been doing so for over four years. Before my shifts I do absolutely nothing but pick the kids up from school and drink coffee lol. Your anxiety will get better I promise. My first 3month check in I remember asking my boss, "When will I feel comfortable enough to come to work and not feel so scared?" He laughed and said it's normal and fear of messing up is a sign that you actually care! Keep with it! Being a RT is hard work and something to be proud of!

Thank you for sharing!! How's it going now? I was just accepted into the program and start next month! Excited but nervous, I'm a 37 yr old mom of 4! I stayed home with my kids for a long time but once they were all in school I decided I wanted to try out college and pursue my dreams of working in healthcare! I'm a first generation college student for my family so this was a big leap for me and hopefully showing my kids they can pursue their dreams at any age. RT was my first choice and i'm so happy I got in! I just hope I can do it.

Me just benching this because I just started an AS in respiratory therapy and am nervous because it starts in less then 2wks now that pre-requisites are done 😭

Just passed my cse, i think the biggest help was discovering if i was lacking on decision making or info gathering and then just focusing more on that. Your word doc helped me so much on giving a quick overview on what to do. And i think the tutorialsystems website is helpful (yes it looks sketchy at first, but trust me 25 for all that info at hand and not having to gether it yourself really does pay off). Also i personally the nbrc practice sims arent as insightful as i would like them to be, they do give you a feel for the cse but every cse could be really open ended or really straight up. Dont stress to much yall, everyone has this. You get the life you put work into, keep pushing and everyone will make it. God Bless!!

At Georgia State you have to take the TEAs with a 70 or higher for RT bachelors program

Hi Erin! I love seeing your videos and think about em all the time as I progress through RT school. I wanted to ask how you were able to adapt to the ER/trauma? Did you adapt right away, or do you feel it took some time? I won’t lie, my first time in ER was kind of overwhelming and I’ve been trying to get over it ever since. not sure if you still answer questions, but i take my tmc on wednesday, and in the information gathering, if it’s something like an MI but it’s not confirmed, would you get ekg/chest xray/troponin or would you just go to the next section and skip all of that?

Currently in RT school and it’s one of the most worst years of my life. It is really anxiety inducing. I’m graduating in 1 month. I have 4 weeks left of clinicals at st Joseph. I did the look at ur older clip and read ur notes, I did kettering, Lindsey jones, tutorials, respiratory coach boot camp, nbrc exams online you pay. I still keep failing. Hey Erin I am just curious how does your job handle the holidays schedule do they spilt the holidays like if you work thanksgiving than you can get Christmas off or like if you work memorial day you can can get the fourth off or is just a normal schedule like if the holiday doesn’t fall on your normal day off than your off than you work But anyway just hope you and your family have a happy holiday
