There are without a doubt better options. We are trying to keep our selections for these videos basic and accessible. Classic brands that everyone knows and can get almost anywhere.
Why would ignore the actually good hot dogs like Hebrew National and Nathans? Or even Petite Jean?
We try to not go for specialty or "high end" brands in these videos. I don't think comparing an all beef or one with a natural casing (which is my personal favorite) to a regular old supermarket hotdog would be anywhere near fair. Should we do another hotdog video showing other more "gourmet" brands?
Great videos. When you get a camera that will stabilize the video your site will really take off! I just watched your latest video, and I would have liked more cooking and less set-up with tables and chairs. I've been watching almost solely cooking videos for about 12 years now. Wish you luck.

I like my hotdogs burnt as you can get them! And when serving I have found I am not alone in preferring them that way, quite a few ask for the darkest hotdog I’ve got.

One of my favorite things about dishes like potato salad is they can be made so many different ways with different things added in or left out. Dishes like that are what make each cook unique!
